Прагмастилістичні особливості функціонування алюзивних антропонімів в англомовній пресі

Abstract

EN : The work is presented on 63 pages of printed text. The list of references includes 115 sources. The presented topic is dedicated to the identifying of the pragmatic influence of the connotative component of the meaning of the proper name, which is the basis of stylistic actualization of the anthroponyms. The object of the work can be defined as the allusive anthroponyms in the English-language press. The aim of this paper is to study the pragmatic aspect of allusive anthroponyms and their stylistic peculiarities of functioning in the English mass media discourse. It determined the accomplishment of such objectives as: – analysis of cases of using anthroponyms as intertextual elements in the mass media texts; – identification of pragmatic peculiarities of the functioning of anthroponyms as a part of the stylistic technique of allusion. Proper names are an integral part of a journalistic text. Proper names in a journalistic text are characterized by evaluation, and the text itself is rarely neutral, almost always expressing a positive or negative assessment of people, events, and so on. Connotative features of proper names in English-language journalistic discourse shape and define their potential as a trope. Allusive anthroponyms are intertextual means of expression in the text. Proper names are most often used as part of figurative comparison, metaphor and metonymy which on the basis of the linguistic and cultural experience of the audience form associations and evaluative stereotypes within the English-speaking linguistic culture. The scientific novelty lies in the attempt to study the pragmastylistic peculiarities of the functioning of allusive proper names in the English press.

Гребенюк, В. Супрун) та класифікація (М. Кемпбел, Д. Єрмолович, О. Суперанська) антропонімів; види (М. Тухарелі, Н. Новохачова) та функції алюзії як стилістичного засобу (В. Гайдар); специфіка медіатекстів (Ю. Воротникова, Н. Бобаль), зокрема з урахуванням прагмастилістичного аспекту (Е. Азнаурова, М. Кожина). Отримані результати: власні імена є невідʼємним компонентом публіцистичного тексту. Вживання алюзивних антропонімів у тексті обумовлена їх стилетворчим потенціалом та лінгвокомунікативною цінністю. Власним іменам у складі публіцистичного тексту властива оціночність, що пояснюється загальним оцінночним характером публіцистичного тексту: він рідко буває нейтральним, майже завжди висловлює позитивну або негативну оцінку осіб, подій, тощо. Коннотативні ознаки власних імен в англомовному публіцистичному дискурсі формують і визначають їх тропеїчний потенціал у ролі метафори, метонімії та порівняння, що на підставі лінгвокультурного досвіду адресата формує асоціації та оціночні стереотипи в рамках англомовної лінгвокультури. Алюзивні антропоніми виступають у ролі інтертекстуального засобу виразності в медіатексті.
