Перекладацькі трансформації при трансляції казкової повісті Дж. М. Баррі “Peter Pan”

Abstract

EN : The work is presented on 56 pages of printed text, contains 3 additions. The list of references includes 45 sources. The presented paper is devoted to the analysis of such an topical issue as transformations in the Process of Translating “Peter Pan” – a Fairy-Tale Story by J. M. Barrie. The object of this work is translation process and changes that occur during the reproduction of the source text in another language. The aim of the paper is to investigate translation transformations as one of the ways to achieve adequacy of the target text and to analyze the patterns of their use in the translation process. This determined the following tasks; 1) to determine what the translation process is, what its essence is; 2) to find out what is the relationship between the translation process and intercultural communication; 3) to explain the need for transformation processes when reproducing a literary text into another language, to name the reasons for such processes; 4) to single out translation transformations in the translation of J. M. Barrie's fairy tale "Peter Pan" and justify their belonging to a certain type; 5) to summarize the typical difficulties faced by the translator in the process of reproducing the source text. The paper deals with what translation is, translation transformations and their classification. The features of applying transformations in the target text were also analyzed. The scientific novelty is that the attempt of systematic analysis of translation transformations in the reproduction of J. M. Barrie’s fairy tale about Peter Pan with an emphasis on the role of these transformations in achieving the adequacy of the translation text is given.

Об’єкт дослідження: процес перекладу та зміни, які відбуваються під час відтворення вихідного тексту іншою мовою. Мета роботи: дослідити перекладацькі трансформації як один із способів досягнення адекватності цільового тексту та проаналізувати закономірності їх використання в процесі перекладу. Теоретико-методологічні засади: ключові положення про переклад та перекладацькі трансформацій: Л. С. Бархударов, В. Н. Коміссаров, Л. К. Латишев, Р. К. Мин’яр-Белоручев, Я. І. Рецкер, С. Г. Тер-Мінасова, А. В. Федоров, О. Д. Швейцер та інші. Отримані результати: серед перекладацьких трансформацій, у казковій повісті були розглянуті три види: лексичні (транскрипція та транслітерація, генералізація, конкретизація, смисловий розвиток, цілісне перетворення висловлювання, антонімічний переклад, компенсація втрат при перекладі), граматичні (перестановка, заміна, випущення, додавання) та стилістичні перетворення (які в свою чергу включають стилістичну модифікацію, стилістичну компенсацію та переклад художніх засобів). Найбільше прикладів саме лексичних трансформацій. Хоча для якісного перекладу важливими є кожен з цих видів трансформацій. Приклади які розглядалися в роботі показують, як за допомогою адекватного перекладу можливо досягти якісного перекладу.
