Засоби реалізації маніпулятивної функції в англомовному публіцистичному дискурсі

Abstract

EN : The work is presented on 57 pages of printed text. The list of references 83 sources. The presented paper is dedicated to the analysis of such a topical problem as means of manipulative influence on the reader in English-language journalistic discourse. The object of the work can be defined as linguistic means of manipulation in English journalistic discourse. The main aim of the paper was the research of different types of linguistic means of implementing the manipulative influence of English-language journalistic texts on the readership. Journalistic discourse is a type of information-orienting institutional discourse, which is implemented with the help of mass communication and involves a conscious and clearly expressed author's actualizing position. It is a type of discourse that realizes the intention of persuasion, and therefore has a powerful perlocutionary effect on its addressee. Manipulation in journalistic discourse is carried out through careful selection and organization of linguistic material. As a result of the critical analysis of English-language journalistic texts, carried out in order to identify the lexical-semantic means of language manipulation typical for them, the following techniques of manipulation were noted, interpreted and explained: use of conversives, nominalization, use of lexical units of secondary nomination, in particular idioms; the use of words with a stable emotional and evaluative connotation; the use of lexical items that demonstrate such characteristics of the semantic structure of the word as polysemy (the presence of one word with several meanings related to the content, polysemy) and homonymy (sound coincidence of words with different meanings); use of metaphors.

Мета роботи полягає у виявленні, систематизації та описі лінгвістичних засобів маніпулятивного впливу та у визначенні особливостей їх використання в англомовному публіцистичних текстах. Теоретико-методологічні засади: монографії та статтї з теорії публіцистичного дискурсу (Н. І. Клушина, В. Михайленко, Н. С. Рудич, О. А. Стишов, А. О. Худолій) та теорії маніпулятивного впливу (Г. В. Грачов, О. Є. Гуменюк, С. Г. Кара-Мурза, О. В. Місніченко, Г. М. Подшивайлова, Л. С. Павлюк). Отримані результати: Публіцистичний дискурс – це різновид інформаційно-орієнтуючого інституційного дискурсу, що реалізується за допомогою засобів масової комунікації та передбачає усвідомлену та чітко виражену авторську актуалізуючу позицію. Це тип дискурсу, що реалізує інтенцію переконання, а отже, має потужний перлокутивний ефект на свого адресата. Маніпулювання в публіцистичному дискурсі здійснюється шляхом ретельного відбору та організації мовного матеріалу. До типових лексико-семантичних засобів мовного маніпулювання належать – номіналізація, використання конверсивів, фразеологізмів, слів із стійкою емоційно-оцінною конотацією. Серед стилістичних засобів впливу важливу роль відіграють метафори, евфемізми та порівняння.
