Об’єкт дослідження – навчальний процес з фізичного виховання учнів середнього шкільного віку.
Мета дослідження – визначити вплив уроків фізичної культури з пріоритетним використанням навчального матеріалу з настільного тенісу на розвиток швидкісно-силових здібностей дітей середнього шкільного віку.
Методи дослідження – аналіз та узагальнення науково-методичної літератури, педагогічне тестування за контрольними вправами (динамометрія правої та лівої руки, згинання і розгинання рук в упорі лежачи, стрибки у довжину з місця, стрибки через скакалку, теппінг-тест), педагогічні спостереження за розвитком швидкісно-силових здібностей, методи математичної статистики обробки отриманих даних.
Найбільший вірогідний приріст у швидкісно-силових показниках хлопців експериментальної групи був у силі кисті рук і частоті рухів верхніх кінцівок; у дівчат – у силі кисті рук, швидкісно-силових вправах верхніх і нижніх кінцівок, частоті рухів верхніх кінцівок, так у настільному тенісі основна робота виконується саме кистю і локальними рухами верхніх кінцівок.
Вивчення навчального матеріалу варіативного модуля «теніс настільний» в системі урочних занять свідчить про позитивний вплив на рівень швидкісно-силових здібностей учнів середнього шкільного віку.

Research methods - analysis and generalization of scientific and methodical literature, pedagogical testing for control exercises (dynamometry of the right and left arm, flexion and extension of the arms in a supine position, long jump, jumping rope, tapping test), pedagogical observations of development speed and power abilities, methods of mathematical statistics of data processing.
The most probable increase in the speed and strength of the boys of the experimental group was in the strength of the palms of the hands and the frequency of movements of the upper extremities; in girls - in the strength of the hands, speed and strength exercises of the upper and lower extremities, the frequency of movements of the upper extremities, so in table tennis the main work is performed by the hand and local movements of the upper extremities.
The study of the educational material of the variable module "table tennis" in the system of lessons indicates a positive impact on the level of speed and strength abilities of middle school students.
