EN : Master’s Qualification Thesis : 61 pages, 8 figures, 14 tables, 28 references, 1 supplement. The object of the study is design of demographic, social-demographic processes, prognostication of structural dynamics of age-dependent groups of population, and related to it questions of public welfare. The aim of the study is the dynamics of population change in Ukraine. The methods of research are analytical, analytical – synthetic, comparison. The qualifying work consists of an introduction, three sections, conclusions and a list of references. The first section reveals the basic concepts of mathematical modeling of demographic processes and conducted a brief review of methods of modeling of demographic processes. The second section deals with matrix models and Leslie Lewis used to predict future age structure of the population. This section also deals with econometric modeling technique. The third section analyzes the dynamics and structure of the population in Ukraine, evaluating the dynamics of social transfers and realized experiments that enables to forecast population and age structure of the population in the nearest year.
