Abstract

Невизначеність демографічного майбутнього України є найбільш актуальною і тісно пов'язана з неясністю соціально-політичних та економічних перспектив країни. Подальше поглиблення кризи може призвести до демографічної катастрофи (демографічної депресії), порівнянної за масштабами з тими, які перенесла країна в 30-40-х роках XX століття. При цьому, небезпека полягає не в тому, що зараз високий рівень смертності призвів до скорочення природного приросту населення, тривогу викликає те, що Україна втрачає з великими труднощами досягнуті, хоча і обмежені за сучасними мірками, можливості контролю над народженням психічно і фізично повноцінних дітей. У той же час, сім'ї відмовляються від народження бажаних ними і планованих дітей. Це означає, що серйозно підриваються основи відтворення майбутніх поколінь. Наукова новизна роботи полягає у тому, що здійснена спроба уточнити сутність поняття «готовність до материнства», що розглядається як стійка позитивна мотивація до народження дитини.

Uncertainty about the demographic future of Ukraine is the most relevant and is closely related to the uncertainty of socio-political and economic prospects of the country. Further deepening of the crisis could lead to a demographic catastrophe (demographic depression), comparable in scale to those suffered by the country in the 30-40s of the XX century. At the same time, the danger is not that the current high mortality rate has reduced natural population growth, it is alarming that Ukraine is losing with great difficulty achieved, albeit limited by modern standards, the ability to control the birth of mentally and physically fit children. At the same time, families refuse to give birth to their desired and planned children. This means that the foundations for the reproduction of future generations are being seriously undermined. The scientific novelty of the work is that an attempt was made to clarify the essence of the concept of "readiness for motherhood", which is seen as a stable positive motivation for the birth of a child.
