Англомовна термінологія сфери психології та проблеми її перекладу українською мовою

Abstract

UA : Об’єкт дослідження: англомовна термінологія сфери психології та проблеми її перекладу українською мовою.Мета роботи: виявлення особливостей перекладу українською мовою англомовної термінології психологічної сфери.Теоретико-методологічні засади: ключові положення теорії дискурсу, розроблені в лінгвістиці (Н. Бараненкова, Л. Білозерська, І. Корунець, О. Шевченко та ін.) та психології (Л. Черноватий, В. Карабан, Н. Міщенко, Н. Гут, Т. Хомуленко та ін.). Отримані результати: у результаті дослідження було встановлено, що переклад психологічних термінів з англійської на українську мову є складним процесом, який вимагає врахування лексичних, семантичних, культурних та контекстуальних особливостей. Основні проблеми виникають через множинність значень термінів, культурні відмінності, відсутність уніфікованої термінології та складність передачі нюансів значень. Калькування та використання еквівалентів є найпоширенішими методами перекладу, тоді як адаптація застосовується рідше, переважно у випадках необхідності врахування культурних або контекстуальних особливостей. Для покращення якості перекладів важливо стандартизувати термінологію та підвищувати кваліфікацію перекладачів у сфері психології.

EN : The presented paper is dedicated to the analysis of such a topical problem as English terminology in the field of psychology and its problems of translation into Ukrainian. The object of the work can be defined as English-language psychological terminology and its translation into Ukrainian, covering the specificity of term transfer, the influence of cultural and contextual factors, and problems related to the unification of terminology in the field of psychology. The main aim of the paper consists in analyzing the translation of English-language psychological terms into Ukrainian, to identify the main problems and challenges associated with this process, and to develop recommendations for unification and standardisation of terminology to ensure accuracy and adequacy of translation in scientific discourse. The scientific novelty of the presented research lies in comprehensively analysing the problems of translating English-language psychological terms into Ukrainian, in particular, to identify and classify the main challenges, such as multiple correspondences, cultural and contextual peculiarities, and the lack of a unified terminology.The study found that the translation of psychological terms from English into Ukrainian is a complex process that requires taking into account lexical, semantic,cultural, and contextual features. The main problems arise due to the multiplicity of meanings of terms, cultural differences, lack of unified terminology, and difficulty in conveying nuances of meaning.
