Специфіка перекладу англомовних фразеологічних одиниць українською мовою у публіцистичних текстах

Abstract

UA : Об’єкт дослідження: англомовні фразеологічні одиниці у публіцистичних текстах та їх переклад на українську мову.Мета роботи: визначити особливості, способи, методи та прийоми перекладу англомовних фразеологічних одиниць у публіцистичних текстах українською мовою.Теоретико-методологічні засади: ключові теоретичні положення про фразеологічні одиниці в лінгвістиці та теорії перекладу (О. І. Бондар, М. Ф. Алефіренко, Н. М. Шанський, Н. Д. Бабич, Л. Г. Авксентьєв, О. І. Смирницький, Л. А. Булаховський, В. О. Плотников, М. Я. Плющ,В. С. Калашник, П. С. Дудик, Ш. Баллі, П. Мюлднер-Нєцковський, Ч. Хоккет, С. Грайс, Дж. Сейдл, У. Макморді, У. Вайнрайх та ін.). Отримані результати: проведено перекладацький аналіз фразеологічних одиниць у публіцистичних текстах з англійської на українську мову. З'ясовано, що переклад фразеологізмів ускладнюється їхньою метафоричністю, образністю та відсутністю прямих еквівалентів у деяких випадках. При перекладі було використано: описовий переклад (34%), еквіваленти (28%), аналоги (24%), калькування (13%) та опущення (1%).Лінгвостилістичні особливості перекладу демонструють складність та багатогранність процесу передачі фразеологізмів з МО на МП. Необхідно враховувати особливості кожного фразеологізму, зберігати його семантичний зміст, образність та емоційне забарвлення.

EN : The presented paper is dedicated to the analysis of the translation of English phraseological units into Ukrainian in the journalistic genre.The object of the study is English phraseological units used in the context of journalistic texts. The subject of the research focuses on the specifics of translating these phraseological units into Ukrainian. The main aim of the paper consists in determining the features, selecting various methods, and solving problems that arise when translating English phraseological units into Ukrainian in journalistic texts. It determined the accomplishment of such objectives as: - clarifying the definition of the term “phraseological unit” and analysing the approaches to its classification;- exploring the essence of the journalistic genre;- investigating the peculiarities of the translation of phraseological units;- conducting a translation analysis of the phraseological units;- determination of linguostylistic features of phraseological units.The work offers a detailed analysis of the translation methods used for English phraseological units in journalistic texts. The study proves that descriptive translation is the most commonly applied method. Calquing and analogical translation are also used, especially in cases where direct equivalents are unavailable. The analysis demonstrates the complexity of phraseological units translation, particularly when cultural differences and stylistic nuances must be accounted for, emphasizing the importance of context in selecting the appropriate translation strategy. The scientific novelty of the research lies in the fact that it is the first study to explore the translation of phraseological units in modern journalistic materials.
