Об’єкт дослідження – розвиток комунікативної толерантності особливості. Останнім часом спостерігається активізація уваги дослідників до проблеми толерантності. Це обумовлено факторами, що характеризують сьогоднішню ситуацію в світі і нашому суспільстві: соціальні та міжетнічні конфлікти, зростання насильства і тероризм, напружена соціальна, економічна, ідеологічна обстановка. Зростаючий інтерес до проблеми толерантності викликаний насамперед потребою соціальної практики і новими підходами до дослідження питань, пов'язаних із спілкуванням і міжособистісною взаємодією. Розвиток суспільних відносин висунуло на передній план питання різнобічного розвитку особистості, зажадало осмислення різноманітних факторів, в їх сукупності і взаємодії, що впливають на формування людини. Одним з найважливіших з них є спілкування. Поза спілкуванням особистість розвиватися не може. Спілкування по суті – це основа глибокої, первинної толерантності людини до людини. Сформована у людини толерантність дозволяє їй невимушено вступати в комунікативні зв'язки з іншими людьми, етично грамотна позиція в спілкуванні робить людину толерантною. Наукова новизна полягає у визначені психолінгвістичного змісту понять «комунікативна толерантність» і «розвиток комунікативної толерантності особистості», обґрунтованню вибіру критеріїв і показників психологічного діагностування комунікативної толерантності особистості; розкриттю психологічних і психолінгвістичних особливостей розвитку комунікативної толерантності особистості.

The development of social relations has brought to the forefront the issue of the versatile development of the individual, has required an understanding of various factors, in their totality and interaction, that influence the formation of a person. One of the most important of them is communication. A person cannot develop outside of communication. Communication is essentially the basis of a person's deep, primary tolerance for others. Tolerance formed in a person allows him to easily enter into communicative relations with other people, an ethically competent position in communication makes a person tolerant. The scientific novelty lies in determining the psycholinguistic content of the concepts of "communicative tolerance" and "development of communicative tolerance of the individual", substantiating the choice of criteria and indicators of psychological diagnosis of communicative tolerance of the individual; revealing the psychological and psycholinguistic features of the development of communicative tolerance of the individual.
