Роман “The Thirteenth Tale” Д.Сеттерфілд у переосмисленні сучасного кінематографу

Abstract

UA : Дипломна робота – 69 стор., джерела 64. Об’єкт дослідження: інтермедіальний аналіз взаємозв’язків літературного першоджерела та кіноадаптації. Мета роботи: дослідити особливості переосмислення роману Діани Сеттерфілд “The Thirteenth Tale” у сучасному кінематографі. Теоретико методологічні засади: поняття інтермедіальності та інтермедіальний аналіз, досліджені такими науковцями як К. Клювер, Л. Гатчен, І. О. Раєвська, Л. Еллестрем. А також методологічні підходи адаптаційних студій, вивчених А. Петью, Т. Ганнінгом, П. Левом, Т. Лейтчем, Дж. Сандерс, Л. К. Кахір, Бр. МакФарлейном, О. М. Москаленко-Висоцької. Отримані результати: кіноадаптація є сучасним напрямком вивчення інтермедіальних студій, оскільки ця форма медіа є прикладом перетину літератури та кінематографа. Було досліджено переосмислення літературного матеріалу, а саме роману “The Thirteenth Tale” Д. Сеттерфілд, у сучасній екранізації від BBC шляхом аналізу сюжетно-композиційної організації, системи образів, засобів кіномови. В ході аналізу кіноадаптації роману “The Thirteenth Tale” Д. Сеттерфілд було виявлено, що редуковані елементи сюжету зумовлюють віднесення цього фільму до деформації першоджерела за класифікацією О. В. Дубініної.

EN : The presented paper is dedicated to the intermedial analysis of the relationships between the literary source and film adaptation. The object of the work can be defined as investigation of the features of the rethinking of Diana Setterfield’s novel “The Thirteenth Tale” in modern cinema. The main aim of the research is to determine the peculiarities of the transformation of the novel “The Thirteenth Tale” by D. Setterfield when transferred to the screen by means of film language. It determined the accomplishment of such objectives as: to consider the evolution of intermedia studios; to investigate the development of the theory of film adaptation; to determine the algorithm of intermedia analysis of modern film adaptation; to find out the features of the implementation of the creative method of Setterfield in the novel under study; to study the specifics of the transfer of the plot and compositional organization of the novel in the film; to analyze the system of character images in the film adaptation; to trace the features of the film language of the film adaptation of “The Thirteenth Tale”. The findings reveal that film adaptation is a modern direction of study of intermedia studies, since this form of media is an example of the intersection of literature and cinema. The rethinking of literary material, namely the novel “The Thirteenth Tale” by D. Setterfield, in the modern adaptation by the BBC was studied by analyzing the plot and compositional organization, the system of images, and means of film language. During the analysis of the film adaptation of the novel “The Thirteenth Tale” by D. Setterfield, it was found that the reduced plot elements determine the classification of this film as a deformation of the original source according to the classification of O. V. Dubinina.
