Екологічна метафора в сучасному англомовному дискурсі

Abstract

UA : Дипломна робота – 67 стор., 102 джерела. Об’єкт дослідження: екологічна метафора в сучасному англомовному дискурсі. Мета роботи: дослідження полягає у виявленні та аналізі маніфестації екологічної метафори у статусно- та особистісно-орієнтованих типах сучасного англомовного дискурсу, з’ясування ролі метафоризації у формуванні екологічної свідомості. Теоретико-методологічні засади: ключові положення сучасної екокритики та теорії метафори. Праці дослідників екокритичного та еколінгвістичного напрямів сучасної гуманітаристики (О. В. Бабире, Е. Г. Балюта , Х. Бердінсен, О. В. Вертипорох, П. Ньюмарк, О. В. Семида, Е. Хауген та інші). Отримані результати: метафори виступають потужним інструментом поєднання мови та мислення, концептуалізації знань про довкілля, інтерпретації реальності. В сучасному англомовному дискурсі екометафори відіграють важливу роль в інституційних та особистісно-орієнтованих дискурсах. Екометафори допомагають суб’єктам комунікації усвідомити масштаби екологічних проблем, сформувати екологічну свідомість та стимулювати почуття колективної відповідальності. До важливих функцій екометафор слід віднести когнітивну та сугестивну. Екометафори збагачують сучасний англомовний дискурс емоційно-оцінною забарвленістю.

EN : The presented paper is dedicated to the analysis of such a topical problem as the analysis of ecological metaphors in contemporary English-speaking discourse. The object of the work can be defined as the ecological metaphor in institutional and personality-oriented discourses. The main aim of the paper consists in analyzing the manifestation of ecological metaphors in status- and personality-oriented types of modern English discourse, as well as in determining the role of metaphorization in the formation of ecological consciousness. It determined the accomplishment of such objectives as: - profound analysis and systematization of the theoretical foundations of the theory of ecological orientation of contemporary English discourse; - investigation of the main types, functions and purpose of usage of ecological metaphors in English-speaking discourse. Metaphors serve as a powerful tool for combining language and thinking, conceptualization of knowledge about the environment, and interpreting reality. In modern English-speaking discourse ecological metaphors play a significant role in both institutional and personality-oriented discourses. Ecological metaphors help the subjects of communication to understand the scale of environmental issues, foster ecological awareness, and stimulate a sense of collective responsibility. Key functions of ecological metaphors include cognitive and suggestive functions. Ecological metaphors enrich modern English-speaking discourse with emotional and evaluative connotations.
