Предмет дослідження: комплекс перекладацьких трансформацій, які використовуються при перекладі на українську мову художніх творів про Шерлока Холмса, та їх вплив на якість перекладу. Теоретико-методологічні засади: ключові положення теорії художнього перекладу та перекладацької типології текстів. | dc.description.abstract | EN : This scientific paper is dedicated to the study of the complex use of transformations in the process of translating detective works by A. C. Doyle about Sherlock Holmes. The object of the research is the analysis of translation transformations applied in the translations of fiction about Sherlock Holmes and their role in preserving the stylistic, semantic, and cultural peculiarities of the original text. The main aim of the study is to examine the methods, mechanisms, and forms of applying translation transformations in the detective genre. To achieve this goal, the following objectives have been defined:- an in-depth analysis and systematization of the theoretical foundations of translation transformations;-investigation of the algorithms, aspects, and stages of using transformations in the process of translating Sherlock Holmes stories. Within the framework of the study, the concept of "translation transformation" is proposed. Various types of transformations are distinguished, including lexical, grammatical, and stylistic modifications. The author proves that the application of translation transformations in detective fiction allows for the identification of the specific features of this genre and the development of recommendations for achieving maximum translation adequacy. The scientific novelty of the presented research lies in the comprehensive analysis of the use of transformations in the translation of detective stories about Sherlock Holmes, contributing to the identification of genre-specific characteristics and the development of practical recommendations for literary translators. The practical significance of the research results lies in their potential use by fiction translators, educators in higher education institutions, and literary scholars. | uk |
