Психологічні аспекти взаємозв’язку рівня емпатії партнерів із якістю романтичних стосунків

Abstract

У сучасному світі романтичні стосунки молоді зазнають значного впливу соціальних, культурних та інформаційно-комунікативних змін. Стрімкий темп життя, зростання ролі віртуальної комунікації, зниження рівня емоційної включеності у взаємини, а також зростаюча кількість конфліктів, непорозумінь і розривів у стосунках – усе це свідчить про зниження якості партнерської взаємодії. На тлі цих тенденцій особливої значущості набуває вивчення емпатії – здатності розуміти, розпізнавати й емоційно співпереживати іншому, що є базовим компонентом ефективного міжособистісного спілкування. Емпатія виступає не лише моральною чи гуманістичною категорією, але й практичним психологічним інструментом побудови довіри, збереження емоційного зв’язку, запобігання конфліктам, прийняття партнера як окремої автономної особистості. У контексті романтичних стосунків ця здатність відіграє фундаментальну роль у розвитку близькості, взаєморозуміння, готовності до компромісів та підтримки. Незважаючи на визнану важливість емпатії, її вплив на якість романтичних стосунків недостатньо досліджений з точки зору емпіричної психології, особливо в межах українського соціокультурного середовища. Актуальність дослідження також зумовлюється зростаючою потребою у психологічному супроводі пар, які стикаються з труднощами в комунікації, емоційній віддаленості та взаємному нерозумінні. У контексті підготовки молоді до дорослого життя, формування здорових моделей партнерської взаємодії стає важливим завданням не тільки психологічної науки, а й практики – від психопрофілактики до консультування. Наукова новизна одержаних результатів. У межах дослідження вперше емпірично встановлено характер взаємозв’язку між когнітивними та афективними складовими емпатії й рівнем довіри, підтримки, стабільності у стосунках серед молоді. Виявлено гендерну специфіку емпатійної взаємодії у романтичному партнерстві.

The object of the study is the romantic relationships of young people. In the modern world, the romantic relationships of young people are significantly influenced by social, cultural and information and communication changes. The rapid pace of life, the growth of the role of virtual communication, the decrease in the level of emotional involvement in relationships, as well as the growing number of conflicts, misunderstandings and breaks in relationships - all this indicates a decrease in the quality of partner interaction. Against the background of these trends, the study of empathy - the ability to understand, recognize and emotionally empathize with another, which is a basic component of effective interpersonal communication, becomes of particular importance. Empathy is not only a moral or humanistic category, but also a practical psychological tool for building trust, maintaining emotional connection, preventing conflicts, and accepting a partner as a separate autonomous individual. In the context of romantic relationships, this ability plays a fundamental role in the development of closeness, mutual understanding, willingness to compromise and support. Despite the recognized importance of empathy, its impact on the quality of romantic relationships has not been sufficiently studied from the point of view of empirical psychology, especially within the Ukrainian socio-cultural environment. The relevance of the study is also due to the growing need for psychological support for couples who face difficulties in communication, emotional distance and mutual misunderstanding. In the context of preparing young people for adulthood, the formation of healthy models of partner interaction becomes an important task not only of psychological science, but also of practice - from psychoprophylaxis to counseling. The scientific novelty of the results obtained. The study was the first to empirically establish the nature of the relationship between the cognitive and affective components of empathy and the level of trust, support, and stability in relationships among young people. The gender specificity of empathic interaction in romantic partnerships was revealed.
