Лексико-семантичні особливості Йоркширського діалекту англійської мови

Abstract

UA : Магістерська робота 60 стор., 74 джерела. Об'єктом дослідження є лексико-семантичні особливості йоркширського діалекту англійської мови XIX та початку XXI ст. Мета дослідження полягає у виявленні особливостей історичного розвитку йоркширського діалекту в контексті ґенези діалектів Англії. Теоретико-методологічні засади: ключові положення теорії діалектології, які розроблені в працях В. Лабова, П. Традгіла, М. Вейкліна, Д. Крістала, О. Лужаниці. Отримані результати: Діалект являє собою варіативне та культурно-обумовлене явище. Тенденції його розвитку співпадають з загально-англійськими, але й відрізняється від них, що зумовлено низкою екстралінгвістичних чинників. Серед них у йоркширському діалекті особливості мовних контактів є найголовнішим. В ході історичного розвитку діалект графства Йоркшир ХІХ ст. набув своєрідності на фонетичному, морфологічному і лексичному рівнях; розвиток лексико-семантичної системи рідних елементів відбувається завдяки афіксації (суфіксації та префіксації), конверсії, скороченню та словоскладанню. Проаналізований матеріал показав, що діалект графства Йоркшир з ХІХ до ХХ століття зазнав значних змін як на рівні структури мови, так і на рівні семантики лексичних одиниць. Зокрема, багато значені і слів йоркширського діалекту вийшли з ужитку, проте всупереч прогнозам мовної політики, діалекти Великобританії продовжують існувати і функціонувати; з'являються нові слова і вислови, розширюється семантика вже існуючих слів.

EN : The lexical semantic peculiarities of the Yorkshire dialect of England during XIX and beginning of XXI centuries is an object of the survey. The thesis is aimed at identification/establishing the features of the historical development of Yorkshire dialect in context of genesis of English dialects. Dialect is a varied and culturally conditioned phenomenon. According to its structural features and origin, the UK dialects are divided into genetically homogeneous and heterogeneous. The history of the development of English dialects passed 4 periods. The genesis of the Yorkshire dialect goes parallel to the main English trends of development of the English language, but differs from them. During the historical span dialect of the county of Yorkshire of XIX century acquires peculiarities on the phonetic, morphological and lexical levels. The most significant factor in its evolution is the lexical level. During the period of development from the XIX to the XX century, the dialect of Yorkshire undergoes significant changes both at the level of the structure and at the level of semantics. As the result of the analysis conducted, it was specified that essential dialect differences are retraced in the transformation of the linguistic situation in England and of the County of Yorkshire. The genesis of Yorkshire dialect is studied on lexical level at all the stages of its development. Semantic, structural and etymological peculiarities, as well as interconnection of lexical units in a system is also analyzed. The changes in lexical semantic system of Yorkshire dialect in the span of XIХ-XXІ centuries is detected and analyzed.
