Abstract

EN : Diploma thesis: 59 pages, 2 figures, 4 tables, 50 references. Object of study: populations of spotted deer and European fallow deer on the territory of the Khortytsia island reserve. Purpose of the study: to study the breeding peculiarities of spotted deer and European fallow deer, to investigate the food reserves available for these introduced species and to trace their biotopic distribution according to the season of the year on the territory of Khortytsia island. The main research method was visual observation, laying of test sites and analysis of the stomachs of dead animals. In order to increase the population of introduced ungulates, it is necessary to constantly monitor the sex and age composition of the population, which determine the productivity of the population. The study of fodder reserves is due to the need to assess the capacity of reserves in the lands of the Khortytsia island reserve. The paper investigates the peculiarities of reproduction of spotted deer and European fallow deer, characterizes the reserves of available forage for these species and studies the distribution of animals by biotopes on Khortytsia island.

Для росту чисельності популяції інтродукованих ратичних тварин, необхідно постійно контролювати статевий та віковий склад популяції, які й обумовлюють продуктивність популяції. Вивчення запасв кормів обумовлене необхідністю оцінки емності запасів в угіддях заповідника о. Хортиця. У роботі досліджені особливості размноження оленя плямистого та лані європейської, дана характеристика запасів доступних кормів для цих видів та досліджено розподіл тварин по біотопам на о. Хортиця.
