Специфіка і функції шекспірівської інтертекстуальності в романі "Ohelia" Лізи Кляйн та його кіноінтерпретації

Abstract

UA : Дипломна робота – 69 стор., 73 джерел Об’єкт дослідження: роман Лізи Кляйн «Офелія» та його однойменна кіноекранізація, здійснена Клер МакКарті. Мета роботи: з’ясувати специфіку та функції шекспірівської інтертекстуальності в романі Лізи Кляйн «Офелія» та його однойменній кіноекранізації, здійсненій Клер МакКарті. Теоретико-методологічні засади: метод аналізу і синтезу, що використовувався при роботі з теоретичними літературознавчими джерелами, метод системного аналізу, який дозволив проаналізувати інтертекстуальність в романі Лізи Кляйн «Офелія», компрартивний аналіз, який сприяв з’ясуванню спезцифіки й функцій шекспірівського інтертексту в романі та його кіноверсії, запропнованій К. МакКарті. Отримані результати: Роман Лізи Кляйн «Офелія» є гетерогенним римейком шекспірівської трагедії «Гамлет», до якої додано елемент поетики (мотив зілля) з трагедії «Ромео і Джульєтти». Він є виявом поліфонічної інтертекстуальності (римейк-контамінація). Однойменний фільм К. МакКарті є кіноадаптацією роману Лізи Кляйн, в якій розширено простір інтертекстуальності, а більшість ключових персонажів роману (Офелія, Гертруда, Гораціо) зазнали суттєвих характерологічних змін, спричинених загальною концепцією творців фільму, які прагнули видовищно і ефектно відтворити життя шекспірівського соціуму з його патріархатними уявленнями про роль жінки, освіту, право на власний голос та ін.

EN : The presented paper is dedicated to the analysis of the intertextuality in the novel “Ophelia” (2006) by Lisa Klein and the film “Ophelia” (2018) by Clair McCarthy, which both deeply rooted in W. Shakespeare’s works.Its topicality is determined by the growing Shakespeare works popularity in the literature of postmodernism and postpostmodernism and by the need to investigate the specifics of the interpretation of artistic images and motives of the tragedy ”Hamet” in its intertextual projections created by artists of the 21st century. The main aim of the paper is to clarify the specifics and functions of Shakespearean intertextuality in L. Klein's novel “Ophelia” and its film adaptation of the same name by C. McCarthy. It determined the fulfillment of such objectives as: polyaspect analysis and systematization of the theoretical backgrounds of phenomena of intertextuality and intermediality; investigation of the specifics and functions of Shakespearean intertextuality in L. Klein's novel ”Ophelia” and its film adaptation by C. McCarthy. L. Klein's novel “Ophelia” is a heterogeneous remake of Shakespeare's tragedy ”Hamlet”, to which the motif of magic drink (an element of poetics of the tragedy ”Romeo and Juliet”) is added. It is a manifestation of polyphonic intertextuality (remake contamination). The work of K. McCarthy is a film adaptation of the novel by L. Klein, in which the space of intertextuality has been expanded, and most of the key characters of the novel (Ophelia, Gertrude, Horatio) have undergone significant characterological changes caused by the general concept of the creators of the film, who sought to effectively recreate the life of Shakespeare's society with his patriarchal ideas about the role of women, education, the right to one's own voice, etc. The scientific novelty of the paper lies in the fact that it is the first attempt of the comparative analysis of the mentioned works through the pryzm of the theory of intertextuality.
