Мовні особливості висвітлення військово-політичних новин в сучасному англомовному публіцистичному дискурсі

Abstract

EN : Дипломна робота – 70 стор., 145 джерел Об’єктом дослідження є публіцистичний дискурс як явище сучасної лінгвістики. Метою роботи є визначення лексико-семантичних та стилістичних особливостей висвітлення військово-політичних новин у сучасному англомовному публіцистичному дискурсі. Теоретико-методологічні засади: ключові положення теорії дискурсу в лінгвістиці (З. Харріс, Х. Хаберланд, Р. Фаулер, Р. Еріксон, Д. Метісон, Т. ван Дейк, В. Карасик, Т. Добросклонська, Н. Арутюнова, Е. Кущ, Н. Карпчук, О. Мосейчук, Ф. Бацевич, І. Шевченко, О. Хорошун та інші). Отримані результати: було проведено порівняльний аналіз англомовної публіцистики Великої Британії і Сполучених Штатів Америки у контексті висвітлення ними наймасштабніших збройних та дипломатичних конфліктів сучасності та виявлено такі особливості: 1) суб’єктивність у характеристиці конфліктів (автори статей займали антиасадівську, антикитайську та антиросійську позиції); 2) превалювання ідіом поміж інших лексичних конструкцій, що найбільше спостерігається в американській пресі; 3) поміж стилістичних мовних засобів найбільш розповсюдженими є метафори та порівняльні конструкції. Це дає змогу публіцистиці здійснювати маніпулятивний вплив як на окремого читача, так і на суспільство загалом.

UA : The presented paper is dedicated to the analysis of such an actual problem as the English-language publicistic discourse and its lexical-semantic features in the context of coverage of modern military and diplomatic conflicts in the world. The object of the work can be defined as a publicistic discourse and its concept in modern linguistics. The main aim of the work is a profound analysis of lexical-semantic and stylistic features of coverage of military-political news in modern English-language publicistic discourse. It determined the accomplishment of such objectives as: 1) a comprehensive analysis and systematization of the theoretical foundations of the theory of discourse; 2) a comparative analysis of the linguistic features of coverage of the civil war in Syria, the Sino-Taiwanese diplomatic conflict and Russian aggression against Ukraine in the publicistic discourse of Great Britain and the United States. The paper analyzes the works of well-known researchers of the theory of “discourse” (Z. Harris, H. Haberland, D. Matheson, T. van Dijk, V. Karasyk, T. Dobrosklonska, E. Kushch, N. Karpchuk, O. Moseichuk, O. Khoroshun and others) and highlights 5 main approaches to the interpretation of this concept. The author points out that the use of the category of “publicistic (or media) discourse” makes it possible to determine the main lexical-semantic features and perspectives in the coverage of current military-political news in the columns of British and American periodical press as well as famous Internet agencies. The scientific novelty of the presented research lies in the investigation of language features in modern English-language publicistics of Great Britain and the USA in the context of coverage of current military and political news of the world from the point of view of the theory of discourse.
