Імена, що говорять, в оригіналі і перекладі роману Ф. Пулмана “Northern Lights”

Abstract

UA : Дипломна робота - 134 стор., 99 джерел, 9 додатків. Об’єкт дослідження: власні назви в оригіналі художнього твору Мета роботи: опис структурних, семантичних та функціональних особливостей імен, що говорять, в оригіналі роману Філіпа Пуллмана “Northern Lights” і у перекладі українською мовою, створеному Наталією Рябовою. Теоретико-методологічні засади: дослідження власної назви у філософії (П. Флоренський, С. Н. Булгаков, Б. Рассел, А. Ф. Лосєв), психології (В. Мухіна), мовознавстві (В. В. Виноградов, В. М. Калінкін, О. А. Нахімова, О. О. Суперанська, Д. Жапова та ін.) та перекладознавстві (С. Влахов, С. Флорин, Д. І. Єрмолович, Р. С. Гіляревський, Б. А. Старостін та ін.) Отримані результати: усі власні назви у романі Ф. Пуллмана “Northern Lights” поділяються на нейтральні, що створюють атмосферу твору, та імена, що говорять, які допомагають завершити художній образ. До основних функцій першої групи належать номінативна, дейктична та референційна. Нейтральні власні назви представлені топомінами, антропонімами, фіктонімами, ергонімами та теонімами. Друга група виконує характеризуючу, міфологізуючу та проспективну функції. Її складають антропоніми, фіктоніми, топоніми та ергоніми, їх також можна поділити на оказіональні та алюзивні, що часто мають авторську внутрішню форму. Це зумовлювало необхідність збереження як алюзії, так і особливої форми імені. Для відтворення власних назв у цільовому тексті було використано способи транскрипції і транслітерації. Через це часто втрачалась семантика власної назви. Причина в невідповідності лексичних систем вихідної мови та мови перекладу. Загалом цільові варіанти виявилися адекватними, проте інколи втрачалась авторська внутрішня форма імені.

EN : The presented paper is dedicated to the analysis of such a topical problem as the proper names in the source artistic text. The object of the work can be defined as the telling names in the Source and Target Texts of “Northern Lights” by Philipp Pullman. The main aim of the paper consists in the description of the structural, semantic and functional features of the telling names in the Source Text of “Northern Lights” by Philipp Pullman and Target Text by Natalia Riabova. It determined the accomplishment of such objectives as: - profound analysis and systematization of the theoretical foundations of the theory of proper names; - analysis of the telling names in the Source Text of “Northern Lights” by P. Pullman and characteristic of the expediency of their reproduction in the Target Text created by N. Riabova. Proper names in the text of “Northern Lights” by Ph. Pullman are divided into neutrals that create an atmosphere of novel, and telling names that help complete the artistic image. The main functions of the first group include nominative, indicatory, and referential. It is represented by topomines, anthroponyms, fictonyms, ergonims, and theonyms. The second group performs characterizing, mythologizing and prospective functions. It is composed of anthroponyms, fictonyms, toponyms and ergonims, and they can also be divided into occasional and allusive ones, which often have the author's inner form. This necessitated the preservation of both the allusion and the particular form of the name. Transcription and transliteration techniques were used to reproduce proper names in the target text. Because of this, the semantics of proper names are often lost. The reason for the discrepancy between the lexical systems of the Source Language and the Target Language. Overall, the target options were adequate, but sometimes the author's internal form was lost.
