Англійськомовні фразеологізми у мовленні політичних лідерів ( на матеріалі публічних промов Б. Обами і Д. Трампа)

Abstract

UA : Дипломна робота – 82 стор., 93 джерела. Об’єкт дослідження: сучасні англомовні фразеологізми використані у промовах політичних діячів XXI ст. Мета роботи: аналіз основних типів і функцій фразеологічних одиниць в сучасних політичних промовах. Теоретико-методологічні засади: ключові положення теорії фразеології (В. В. Виноградов, О. В. Кунін, П. С. Дудик, М. П. Кочерган, О. І. Смирницький). Отримані результати: серед низки функцій які виконують фразеологізми у політичних промовах (дейктична, створення образності, прагматична (і її стилістичний різновид), контактовстановлююча, оцінна, резюмуюча, комічна, експресивна, комулятивна, результативна, прагматична, виражальна, евфемістична, аксіологічна, директивна, текстотвірна, лаконізації мови, волюнтативна та функція гіперболізації) найчастотнішими є оцінна і інтенсифікації висловлювання. Б. Обама найчастіше використовує фразеологізми, що виконують функцію інтенсифікації висловлювання, в той час як у Д. Трампа на першому місці за частотністю знаходимо результативну функцію. Використання фразеологізмів зниженого стилістичного тону Б. Обамою і Д. Трампом дає підстави стверджувати, що політики прибігають до однакової стратегії встановлення контакту із глядачами – створення невимушеної атмосфери спілкування. Для обох політиків важливим є надання динамічності описуваним подіям, тому частіше за все вони використовують дієслівні фразеологізми. Б. Обама здебільшого використовує ФО в середині промов, тоді як Д. Трамп – у кінці.

EN : The paper is devoted to a comprehensive study of peculiarities of usage of phraseological units in modern speeches of political leaders of the USA. The analysis of types and functions of the phraseological units used by American politicians can be defined as the object of the work. The main aim of the paper includes the analysis of quantitative characteristics of usage of phraseological units depending on their function. It determined the accomplishment of such objectives as: - outlining of the theoretical background of phraseology; - analysis of functional peculiarities of phraseological units in political speeches of Barack Obama and Donald Trump. The terms “idiom” and “phraseological unit” have been defined and compared. The main functions of phraseological units were identified. The results of investigation conducted on the material of the Internet-versions of speeches have revealed quantitative differences in the usage of phraseological units by B. Obama and D. Trump. The function of intensifying of an utterance was the most frequently used in B. Obama’s speeches, while the resultative function prevails in D. Trump’s speeches. The result of analysis of style of idioms coincides with both politics, they tend to use neutral idioms, but still both of them use some informal ones. An analysis of the location of phraseological units revealed that B. Obama mostly uses them in the middle of his speeches, whereas D. Trump mostly at the end. The directions for further research are seen in study of phraseological units in political speeches on the material of different languages (Ukrainian, Russian, English) and speeches in synchronic and diachronic aspects.
