Однією з актуальних тем в психології можна вважати проблему становлення самооцінки. Самооцінка виступає як відносно стійке структурне утворення, компонент Я – концепції, самосвідомості, і як процес само оцінювання. Основу самооцінки становить система особистісних смислів індивіда, прийнята їм система цінностей. Самооцінка формує у людині потребу відповідати не тільки рівнем оточуючих, а й рівню власних особистісних оцінок. Розвиток справжньої самооцінки починається з реалістичних оцінок дітьми своїх умінь, результатів своєї діяльності і конкретних знань. Менш об'єктивно в цей період діти оцінюють якості своєї особи. Самооцiнка – компонент самосвiдомостi, що мiстить поряд зi знанням про себе власну оцiнку своїх здiбностей, моральних якостей i вчинкiв. Самооцінка досить стійка і часто, особливо у дітей, неусвідомлена. У самооцінці відбивається те, що дитина дізнається про себе від інших, і його зростаюча активність, спрямована на усвідомлення своїх дій і особистісних якостей. Наукова новизна дослідження полягає: на основі знань і думок про себе у дошкільника розвивається найскладніший компонент самосвідомості – самооцінка. Вона багато в чому залежить від того, як дитину оцінює дорослий. Чим точніша й аргументованіша оцінна дія дорослого, тим сприятливіші умови формування самооцінки.

One of the relevant topics in psychology can be considered the problem of self-esteem. Self-esteem acts as a relatively stable structural formation, a component of the self - concept, self-awareness, and as a process of self-evaluation. The basis of self-esteem is a system of personal meanings of the individual, the system of values adopted by him. Self-esteem forms in a person the need to meet not only the level of others, but also the level of their own personal assessments. The development of true self-esteem begins with realistic assessments by children of their skills, the results of their activities and specific knowledge. Less objectively during this period, children assess the qualities of their personality. Self-esteem is a component of self-awareness, which contains, along with knowledge about oneself, one's own assessment of one's abilities, moral qualities and actions. Self-esteem is quite stable and often, especially in children, unconscious. Self-esteem reflects the fact that the child learns about himself from others, and his growing activity aimed at understanding their actions and personal qualities. The scientific novelty of the study is: on the basis of knowledge and thoughts about themselves, the preschooler develops the most complex component of self-awareness - self-esteem. It largely depends on how the child is evaluated by an adult. The more accurate and reasoned the evaluative action of an adult, the more favorable the conditions for the formation of self-esteem.
