Когнітивно-семантичні особливості вербалізації емоційно-почуттєвих станів людини засобами англійських фразеології та паремій

Abstract

EN : The work is presented on 62 pages of printed text. The list of references includes 114 sources. The presented paper is dedicated to the analysis of analysis of phraseological units and paremias, which denote the emotional states of a person, as positive as negative. The object of the work can be defined as concepts of positive and negative emotional states of a person in English language. The main aim of the paper is to establish and describe the semantics of phraseological units, which denote positive and negative emotions in English phraseology and paremias. It determined the accomplishment of such objectives as: 1) to look into phenomena of concept and conceptualization within the framework of cognitive linguistics; 2) to study the features of the phenomenon of cognitive metaphor as a means of conceptualizing phenomena; 3) to look into the essence and characteristics of emotions, and the means of their verbalization; 4) to select phraseological units, which denote the emotional states of a human; 5) to determine the means of transmitting the concepts of positive and negative emotions in language. The ways of communication of the meaning of emotional states of the person are offered in the work, such as verbal and non-verbal. Such positive emotions as joy, love, calmness, courage were analyzed, and negative emotions as anger, fear, shame, pride, surprise, tiredness, sadness, despair, diffidence, worry. It is concluded that phraseological units that denote negative emotions are more in amount that positive. The scientific novelty of the presented research lies in an attempt, which was made to study and systematize the phraseological units that denote positive and negative emotional states in English phraseology and paremias.

Мета роботи: встановлення і опис семантики фразеологічних одиниць на позначення позитивних та негативних емоцій в англійській фразеології та пареміях. Теоретико-методологічні засади: ключові положення вивчення явища концепту (С. Аскольдов, Р. Павільоніс, Ю. Степанов), концептуалізації (О. Маковською, А. Бабушкіним), та теорії метафори (Дж. Лакофф, М. Джонсон) в когнітивній лінгвістиці. Отримані результати: зазначається, що емоційні стани в англійській мові можуть виражатися вербально та не вербально. З отриманих результатів можна зробити висновок, що в англійській фразеології більшість одиниць виражають значення негативних емоцій. Репрезентація емоційних станів відбувається наступними способами: фразеологічні одиниці з назвами кольорів, фразеологічні одиниці з зооморфізмами, фразеологічні одиниці в яких значення передається невербально, фразеологічні одиниці вигукового типу, фразеологічні одиниці в основі яких лежать порівняння, фразеологічні одиниці з лексемами на позначення світла. Чисельними є випадки, коли емоційний стан людини репрезентується за допомогою лексем, що позначають частини тіла людини, тобто він має тілесне означення.
