Особливості перекладу сучасних англомовних фільмонімів

Abstract

EN : The relevance of this research is determined by a number of factors, including: interest of linguists in the processes of nomination of films as a specific extralinguistic reality, intensification of typological researches of film titles, development of Ukrainization of film industry on the basis of traditions and new tendencies. As a theoretical basis, theoretical studies of film names were analyzed: their features, types and functions. During the writing of the thesis in the practical part, we analyzed about 50 films and found that the most commonly used translation is direct translation, transformation, transliteration and transcription or complete replacement. The translator chooses a strategy of direct translation to titles that do not contain complex culturally specific words or expressions. The most common trend at the moment is pragmatic translation. Such a translation requires from specialists not only a good command of the language and its knowledge, but also the ability to use it, to introduce additional meanings, to interpret the content, utterances. Use film names as a metaphor, epithet, key phrase of a film or to create intrigue and fuel interest from the audience. In addition, we identified several problems, as not all translators resort to professional translation strategies. The reasons for this may be: a large number of synonymous names, the official translation is not complete or is unfamiliar to the audience, the film name differs in language style from the original, the use of non-equivalent vocabulary, linguistic expressions etc. The obtained results can be used for a deeper study and further study of the features of modern adaptation of modern English-language film titles in the Ukrainian language.

Бархударов, Н. К. Гарбовський, В. Н. Комісаров, Е. В. Книш, Ю. Н. Подимова, А. Д. Швейцер. Отримані результати: Найбільш поширеною тенденцією при перекладі фільмонімів є прагматичний переклад. Такий переклад вимагає від фахівців не тільки гарного володіння мови, а також вміння її використовувати, вводити додаткові смисли, інтерпретувати зміст. Використовувати фільмоніми як метафору, епітет, ключову фразу кінострічки або для створення інтриги та підігріву цікавості з боку аудиторії. Крім того, нами було виявлено декілька проблем, адже не всі перекладачі вдаються до професіональних стратегій перекладу. Причинами чого можуть бути: великий синонімічний ряд назв, офіційний переклад не є повним або є незнайомим аудиторії, фільмонім відрізняється за стилем мови від оригінального, використання безеквівалентної лексики, мовних виразів та ін. Таким чином було з’ясовано, що ці можливі версії відрізняються від оригіналів семантично, синтаксично або стилістично. Однак, незважаючи на це, вони можуть існувати, і іноді один з них є більш підходящим, ніж офіційний переклад.
