Підлітковий вік є першою віковою сходинкою переходу дитинства до зрілості, цей період характеризується періодом становлення особистості, наявністю різноманітних психологічних проблем і труднощів, що викликано суперечностями у розвитку. Саме у цей період відбувається усвідомлення своєї індивідуальності, змінюється її ставлення до навколишнього світу, до себе, до інших людей, відбувається перебудова потреб та мотивів, поведінки. Також, в цей період активно формується духовне багатство, моральність, готовність до праці, здатність зайняти певну громадську позицію. Важливо зазначити, що підлітковий вік є часом остаточного формування особистості, окрім того, саме в цей період відбувається формування основної мети життя. Наукова новизна полягає у тому, що було продемонстровано та доведено необхідність розробки та впровадженні програми із розвитку особистості у підлітковому віці.
