Поетика п’єси «Буря» Вільяма Шекспіра крізь призму екокритики

Abstract

EN : The work is presented on 59 pages of printed text. The list of references includes 84 sources. This master's thesis is devoted to the perspective of the native field formation of ecocritical knowledge, built on the responsibility principles of science to society, which determines the need to identify ecocritical guidelines at the present stage of literary research. The object of research paperis a problem-thematic spectrum of human and nature correlation in the work of W. Shakespeare “The Tempest”. The main aim of the study is to identify the potential of the play “The Tempest” by W. Shakespearein the process of literary analysis, develop and test the ecocritical strategy of studying literary texts. Theachievement of aim requires solving the following tasks: to highlight the study state of the play “The Tempest” by W. Shakespeare in the research of modern scholars and determine the main trends of scientific controversy and the existing points of vagueness; to investigate the opposition of human to nature and its forces in the play of William Shakespeare “The Tempest”; to distinguish the artistic value of naturalistic and literary reproduction of nature and its processes; to characterize the anthropocreativity in the context of ecocritical discourse. The study gives an opportunity to state that W. Shakespeare and his wide feeling of ecology as human and nature world relations reveals the historical preconditions for modern environmental knowledge and activism, it also explores Shakespeare’s ability to generate creative and performative responses even to modern global environmental problems. Shakespearean ecocritic or the nature analysis deals with the weather, green plantations, animals, the ugly (for example, Сaliban) and even colonization. The scientific novelty of the master's thesis is that “The Tempest” by W. Shakespeare falls into the focus of ecocritical interpretation in Ukrainian literary studies.

Шекспіра «Буря». Мета роботи: дослідження полягає в тому, щоб в процесі літературознавчого аналізу п’єси «Буря» В. Шекспіра виявити її потенціал і розробити та апробувати екокритичну стратегію вивчення художніх текстів. Теоретико-методологічні засади: дослідження сформована в процесі акумуляції інтелектуального досвіду сучасного шекспірознавства та екокритики (О. Анікст, М.А. Барг, Т. Михед, Н.М. Торкут). Серед дослідників екокритичного напряму (М.П. Бранч, Т. Гарді, Ч. Ґлотфелті, Л. Куп, В. Рукерта, Д. Тері, Г. Фроммом тощо). Отримані результати: У системі теоретичних знань в найближчій перспективі становлення чи формування вітчизняної галузі екокритичних знань, побудованої на принципах відповідальності науки перед суспільством, обумовлює необхідністьвизначення екокритичних орієнтирів на сучасному етапі літературознавчих досліджень. Проведене дослідження дає можливість констатувати, що В. Шекспір і його широке відчуття екології як відносин людини та світу природи висвітлює історичні передумови сучасного екологічного знання та активізму, а також досліджує здатність Шекспіра генерувати творчі та перформативні відповіді навіть на сучасні глобальні екологічні проблеми. Шекспірівська екокритика, або аналіз природи у Шекспіра, торкається погоди, зелених насадженнь, тварин, потвор (наприклад, Калібан) і навіть колонізації.
