Формування англомовної компетентності в читанні студентів-філологів на матеріалі художніх творів

Abstract

EN : The work is presented on 80 pages of printed text, contains 3 additions. The list of references includes 55 sources. The presented paper is dedicated to the analysis of English competence formation by students of philological faculty on the fiction basis. Object of the work can be defined as professional training of philology students.The main aim of the paper consists in theoretical justification, development and verification in practice of the method of reading competence formation students. It determined the accomplishment of such objectives as: 1) by means of theoretical analysis to identify a complex of factors that have an objective influence on the formation of English reading competence of students of the Faculty of Foreign Languages; 2) to determine and experimentally test the main pedagogical conditions for the effectiveness of the implementation of the method for the formation of students’ English – language reading competence. The results obtained: research and experimental work showed that the effectiveness of the implementation of the method for the formation of students’ reading competence depends on compliance with a number of pedagogical conditions: teaching reading in three stages and on the basis of an individually differentiated approach; ensuring the reflexive position of students in relation to the reading activity; organization of pre-text and post-text work aimed at activating students’ existing knowledge. The scientific novelty of the presented research lies in the fact that on the basis of scientific ideas about the content of reading activity, the structure of the reading competence of students of the faculty of foreign languages was developed, which includes organically interconnected personal, cognitive and activity components, and the criteria for its formation were identified

Об’єкт дослідження: професійна підготовка студентів-філологів факультету іноземних мов. Мета роботи: теоретичне обґрунтування, розробка та перевірка на практиці методики формування англомовної ЧК студентів факультету іноземних мов. Теоретико-методологічні засади: ключові положення теорії ЧК як характеристики нового підходу до конструювання освітніх стандартів (А. В. Хуторського, Р. П. Мільруд, І. О. Зимньої, Ch. Nuttall, J. Collie, K. Porter). Отримані результати: дослідно-експериментальна робота показала, що ефективність реалізації методики формування англомовної ЧК студентів залежить від дотримання ряду педагогічних умов: навчання читанню на трьох етапах та на основі індивідуально-диференційованого підходу; забезпечення рефлексивної позиції студентів стосовно здійснюваної читацької діяльності; організації передтекстової та післятекстової роботи, спрямованої на активізацію наявних у студентів знань, а також на розширення загального кругозору, необхідного для розуміння пропонованого текстового матеріалу; здійснення діагностики рівня сформованості ЧК; використання на заняттях текстів різних жанрів та типів. У ході проведення дослідно-експериментальної роботи у висновках були вироблені практичні рекомендації для викладачів, які були апробовані під час здійснення цієї роботи та є частиною отриманого практичного досвіду.
