Концепт LOVE та його лінгвальна репрезентація в англомовних художніх текстах ХХ століття

Abstract

EN : The work is presented on 61 pages of printed text. The list of references includes 82 sources. The paper deals with the conept-sphere in English language fiction of 20th century, and LOVE concept in particular. The object of the work is LOVE concept in fiction. The main aim of the paper consists in defining the functional peculiarities of concepts and revealing the specifics of their reproduction in in English language fictional text. Of the 20th century The aim determined the accomplishment of such objectives as: - to analyze the current state of research of the concept; - determine what is the structure of the concept; - find out according to which parameters concepts can be classified, what types of concepts exist. - identify modern methods of conceptual analysis; - describe the research method of the concept of the proposed work; - to analyze expressions referring to different types of people's love. If you use conceptual analysis as a way of making sense of verbal information, then metaphor is a mechanism for structuring abstract concepts, they provide a person's ability to think abstractly. Metaphor in cognitive science is a means of forming new concepts. Metaphor is a tool to make sense of the abstract in concrete terms, concretizes non-objective concepts through objective ones, forming new meanings. Metaphors make it possible to trace the logic of the thinking process, to distinguish empirical frameworks. In this way, the concept is ordered metaphorically, and thus the language is also ordered metaphorically.

Мета роботи: виявити спосіб вираження концепту LOVE художніми засобами письменниками ХХ століття. Матеріалом дослідження слугував роман англійського письменника Уільяма Сомерсета Моема «Розмальована вуаль» (1925 рік). Теоретико-методологічні засади: У сфері лінгвістичних досліджень підходи до розуміння сутності концепту як складного ментального утворення вивчались вітчизняними вченими, серед них М. Красноваєва-Чорна, О. Селіванова, Н. Слухай, І. Штерн, і зарубіжними, в тому числі Дж. Лакофф і М. Джонсон. Отримані результати: Результати дослідження свідчать про те, що любов у ХХ столітті мала глибинне психологічне значення. Концепт LOVE може бути виражений через велику кількість інших понять. Любов через свою універсальність і багатогранність може бути осмислена за допомогою всіх тих явищ, що є суміжними з людським життям, і які можуть викликати зміни. Автори в художніх творах на початку століття приділяли значно більше уваги вираженню психологічних станів героїв. Також, в художній літературі приділялась увага тілесному прояву любові, значення і вплив яких позначається як фундаментальний.
