Каламбур в пуанті англомовного анекдоту та його відтворення в перекладі

Abstract

EN : The work is presented on 72 pages of printed text. The list of references includes 55 sources. The presented paper is dedicated to the analysis of such a topical problem as a pun in the punchline of an English-language joke and its translation. The object of the work can be defined as English-language jokes based on various types of puns. The main aim of the paper consists in identifying the peculiarities of the construction of puns in the punchline of an English-language joke and describing the strategy of their reproduction in the Ukrainian translation. It determined the accomplishment of such objectives as: - profound analysis and systematization of the theoretical foundations of the joke as a genre and pun as a way to create comical effect; - investigation of the algorithm, aspects and stages of translation English-language puns. We managed to identify the most common ways of translation: adding a comment, neutralizing a joke, compensation, creating an identical translation in the text. An integral part of the joke, we determined, are two compositional parts - the stimulator and the punchline. It is impossible to build any joke without them. But quite often the introduction may be missing due to the small size of the joke. In the practical part of the work, we considered examples of lexical and phraseological puns. The percentage of puns based on phraseological units is much lower than the lexical one. We came to the conclusion that such types of puns cannot be translated into Ukrainian without changing the plot or phraseology.

Мета роботи: виявлення особливостей побудови каламбурів в пуанті англомовного анекдоту та опис стратегії їх відтворення в перекладі українською мовою. Теоретико-методологічні засади: багато вітчизняних та іноземних науковців вивчали специфіку та особливості анекдоту як жанру (В. А. Бережний, В. І. Карасик, І. І. Кімакович, Є. Я., Курганов, В. Раскін, О. А. Чіркова, Е. Я. Шмелева), розробили його класифікацію (В. В. Виноградов, І. І. Кімакович), вивчали його композицію, зокрема пуант анекдоту (В. І. Карасик, М. Соколянський) та досліджували варіанти перекладу на різні мови світу (S. Attardo, P. Zabalbeascoa). Отримані результати: Нам вдалось визначити найпоширеніші способи перекладу: додання коментаря, нейтралізація жарту, компенсація, створення ідентичного в тексті перекладу. Невід’ємною частиною анекдоту, ми визначили, є дві композиційні частини – стимулятор та пуант. Без них побудувати будь-який жарт неможливо. А ось зав’язка досить часто може бути відсутня через малий обсяг анекдоту. У практичній частині роботи ми розглянули приклади лексичних та фразеологічних каламбурів. Відсоток каламбурів, заснованих на фразеологізмах значно менший за лексичний. Ми прийшли до висновку, що такі види каламбуру неможливо перекласти на українську мову не змінюючи сюжет, чи фразеологізм.
