Роль сленгізмів у творах Д. Селінджера

Abstract

EN : The work is presented on 55 pages of printed text. The list of references includes 41 sources. The presented article is devoted to the analysis of such a topical topic as slang in the representation of the youth picture of the world. The object of the work can be defined as the discourse of the formation and use of slang in the works of J.D. Salinger in the example of his novel "The Catcher in the Rye". The main purpose of the article is to analyze the types of slangisms and their use in the works of Selinger. This determined the achievement of such goals as: - analysis of concepts and types of slang; - analysis of the style of the novel "The Catcher in the Rye" and the function of slangisms that are present in it. In this work, using the example of J. D. Salinger's work, the variety of slangisms in individual-author speech is demonstrated, their functional potential and role in reproducing the individual-author picture of the world is established. The use of slang expressions and vulgarisms in J. D. Salinger's novel "The Catcher in the Rye" is a vivid rhetorical technique that illustrates the emotional state of the main character and the entire teenage generation of the mid-20th century. The analyzed novel is one of the brightest among the works of American literature due to its metaphorical nature and brilliant presentation of the image of a difficult teenager using slang.

Мета роботи: розкрити особливості функціонування сленгізмів у творах Дж. Д. Селінджера. Теоретико-методологiuнi засади: ключові положення сленгізмів розроблені в літературознавстві (О. Скобельська, К. Фридман, Н. Шарер) та лінгвістиці (К. Богданович, В. Вилюман, О. Ахманова). Отриманi резyльтати: термін сленг є багатозначним. Розряд сленгізмів належить до лексики обмеженого вжитку: має неофіційний характер та емоційну забарвленість. Уживання сленгових форм і виразів є частотним в творчості Дж Д. Селінджера. У творах трапляються не тількі загальновживані сленгізми, а й вульгаризми (лайливі слова). Принагідно зазначимо, що уживання сленгових виразів і вульгаризмів в романі Дж. Д. Селінджера «Над прірвою в житі» є яскравим риторичним прийомом, який ілюструє емоційний стан головного героя і цілого підліткового покоління середини ХХ ст. Аналізований роман є одним з найяскравіших серед творів американськоï літератури завдяки метафоричності і блискучою подачі образу важкого підлітка за допомогою сленгу. Сленгові висловлювання надають твору образність і новизну, і тому роман вважається одним з самих найпрочитаних і яскравих творів ХХ століття.
