На перший план виступає особа самостійна і відповідальна у рішенні багатьох життєвих проблем, активна і ініціативна у визначенні свого місця в житті та успішна в соціально значущій діяльності. Становлення такої особистості значною мірою залежить від впевненості у собі. Наукова новизна та теоретичне значення дослідження полягають у тому, що: - обґрунтовано психологічні умови розвитку впевненості у собі в ранньому дорослому віці; емпірично досліджено особливості прояву в осіб раннього дорослого віку впевненості у собі як стійкого позитивного ставлення до власних можливостей; - розширено, уточнено та доповнено вивчення наступних особистісних утворень: автономність, самооцінка, рефлексивність, мотивація досягнень, копінг-стратегія, самоствердження, саморозуміння, аутосимпатія, спонтанність, які розглядаються в контексті дослідження феномену впевненості у собі; - набуло подальшого розвитку вивчення феномену впевненості у собі та виявлення шляхів його розвитку з урахуванням вікових особливостей особистості.

At the current stage of society's development, which is characterized by significant political and socio-economic changes, new demands are placed on the individual. In the foreground is a person who is independent and responsible in solving many life problems, active and proactive in determining his place in life and successful in socially significant activities. The formation of such a personality largely depends on self-confidence. The scientific novelty and theoretical significance of the study are that: - the psychological conditions for the development of self-confidence in early adulthood are justified; the peculiarities of the manifestation of self-confidence as a stable positive attitude towards one's own capabilities in persons of early adulthood were empirically investigated; - expanded, clarified and supplemented the study of the following personal formations: autonomy, self-esteem, reflexivity, achievement motivation, coping strategy, self-affirmation, self-understanding, autosympathy, spontaneity, which are considered in the context of the study of the phenomenon of self-confidence; - the study of the phenomenon of self-confidence and the identification of ways of its development, taking into account the age characteristics of the individual, has gained further development.
