The object of the study is the ecology of roe deer on Khortytsia Island in the
city of Zaporizhzhia.
The subject of the study is: conducting a detailed assessment of the ecology
of roe deer on the island of Khortytsia, climatic conditions, the productivity indicator
of the territory, quantitative indicators of the development of groups, changes in the
number of roe deer, establishing the optimal number.
Research methods: theoretical methods, empirical methods, descriptive
methods, analytical methods.
The purpose of the work is to conduct research on the ecology of roe deer on
Khortytsia Island in the city of Zaporizhzhia and determine the optimal number of
its population. This will make it possible to predict the trend of population
development and determine its optimal number.
We have determined that the average credit rating for roe deer on the territory
of Khortytsia Island is 3.4 units. Based on this, it can be stated that the lands for the
considered species are not characterized by high productivity, that is, by fodder and
protective characteristics. To increase the quality of the territory of Khortytsia
Island, it is necessary to carry out biotechnical measures aimed at improving their
quality.
Changes in the number of roe deer on the territory of Khortytsia Island were
determined theoretically and experimentally. It should be noted that in recent years
it has gradually increased. It was established that the optimal number of roe deer on
the territory of Khortytsia is 331 individuals.

встановити оптимальну чисельність.

Метою роботи є проведення дослідження екології козулі острова
Хортиця міста Запоріжжя та визначення оптимальної кількості її популяції. Це
дасть змогу спрогнозувати тенденцію розвитку популяції та визначити її
оптимальну чисельність.
Нами було визначено, що середній клас бонітету для козулі європейської
на території острова Хортиця складає 3,4 одиниці. Виходячи із цього можна
стверджувати, що угіддя для розглядуваного виду не відзначаються високою
продуктивністю, тобто кормовими й захисними характеристиками. Для
збільшення якості території острова Хортиця варто провести біотехнічні
заходи, направлені на покращення їх якості.
Теоретично та експериментально визначено зміни чисельності козулі на
території острова Хортиця. Необхідно зауважити, що в останні роки вона
поступово збільшилася. Встановлено, що оптимальна чисельність козуль на
території Хортиці складає 331 особина.
