Об’єктом дослідження були дві методики опису ознак і проведення експертизи арахісу підземного та 19 селекційних зразків Arachis hypogaea L.
Актуальність роботи полягає в дослідженні нової малопоширеної олійної культури, яка збагатить асортимент вже існуючих культурних рослин,надасть можливість покращувати структуру посівних площ і підвищити ефективність виробництва в аграрному секторі.
Метою нашої роботи було порівняти різні методики опису ознак і проведення експертизи арахісу підземного, які існують, та виявити найбільш перспективні генотипи для подальшої роботи зістворення вітчизняних сортів цієї культури, що сприятиме швидшому її розповсюдженню.
Для досліджень були використані наступні методи досліджень: біометричні вимірювання,польовий, фенологічне спостереження , статистична обробка.
В результаті проведених досліджень нами було проведено порівняльний аналіз двох методик, які містять 23 ознаки арахісу, а також виявлено і запропоновані до опису 9 нових ознак культури.
Новизна роботи полягає в тому, що вперше проводиться дослідження та ідентифікації ознак арахісу культурного в посушливих степових умовах України.
Отримані результати будуть використані в подальших наукових дослідженнях зі створення нових сортів і рекомендацій з вирощування арахісу.

The subject of the study were two methods of characterization and examination of groundnut peanuts and 19 breeding specimens of Arachis hypogaea L.
The urgency of the work lies in the study of a new, widespread oilseed crop, which will enrich the assortment of already existing cultivated plants, will provide an opportunity to improve the structure of acreage and increase production efficiency in the agricultural sector.
The aim of our work was to compare different techniques for describing the characteristics and examination of existing groundnut peanuts and to identify the most promising genotypes for further work on the development of domestic varieties of this culture, which will facilitate its rapid distribution.
The following research methods were used for the research: biometric measurements, laboratory biochemical methods, statistical processing.
As a result of our research, we conducted a comparative analysis of two methods containing 23 characteristics of peanuts, and also identified and proposed to describe 9 new features of culture.
The novelty of the work is that for the first time, research and identification of the characteristics of peanut cultivated in the arid steppe conditions of Ukraine is carried out.
The results will be used in further scientific research to develop new varieties and recommendations for growing peanuts.
