Когнітивно-семантичний аналіз фразеологізмів та паремій англійської мови з етнонімічним компонентом

Abstract

UA : Дипломна робота – 67 стор., 88 джерел Об’єкт дослідження: специфіка когнітивно-семантичних особливостей англійських фразеологізмів та паремій з етнонімічним компонентом. Мета роботи: вивчення фразеологічних і паремійних одиниць англійської мови з метою виявлення зафіксованих в них етностереотипів. Теоретико-методологічні засади: ключові положення теорії когнітивної метафори, лінгвокультуроогії, фразеології, когнітивної лінгвістики. Отримані результати: Спостереження над процесами когнітивно-семантичних особливостей фразеологізмів і паремій англійської мови з етнонімічним компонентом продемонстрували специфіку образно-метафоричного відображення етностереотипів – уявлень про представників різних націй, зафіксованих в фразеологічно-паремійному фонді англійської мови, що складались тисячоліттями у представників англосаксонської нації. Когнітивні механізми, за рахунок яких відбувається образна інтерпретація, включають переважно аналогові (метафору) та асоціативні (метонімія) – випадки перенесення найменування за суміжністю або асоціацією між об’єктами.

EN : The paper focuses on the research of cognitive-semantic analysis of the English phraseology and paremia with the ethnonym as a component. The object of the study is English phraseology and paremia with ethnomymic component in cognitive-semantic perspective. It is aimed at the research of specific ethnostereotypes conceptualzation and the national strereotypic anglo-saxonic vision of other nations, fixed in the English phraseology and paremia. Based on the key assumptions of the theory of phraeology and idiomaticity, linguocultural studies, cognitive linguistics and cognitive metaphor, as well as the achivements of cognitive semantics, the research applied the corresponding methodology for analysis, that relied on the analytical study of theoretical works in the fields stated above, as well as empirical analysis of lexical material. The results obtained demonstrated that conceptualization and verbalization of ethnic strereotypes revealed by means of conceptual tropes, among them the most frequent being metaphor, corresponds to the vision of the British and other nations fixed in the English phraseology and paremia. The general spectre of correlates reveals specific ethnostereotypes, existing in the perception of the British bout themselves and pfther nations, that become part of the national picture of the world and contains not only imagery and notional, but also evaluative component of meaning.
