The object of the study was biohumus (vermicompost) — a product of the
processing of manure of agricultural animals by the earthworm technological line.
The aim of this research is to study the effectiveness of biohumus
(vermicompost), a high-quality, complex and environmentally clean organic fertilizer
as a natural opportunity to restore soil fertility and increase the yield of spring barley
in modern alternative agriculture.
Research methods — biometric measurements, analysis of literary sources,
data processing.
As a result of this work, it has been established that the use of microfertilizers
during one-time treatment of plants provides a significant increase with regard to
biometric indicators. We have established that the length of the roots increases by
2.4–3.8 cm, while the average stem length increases by 5–10 cm compared to the
control. The greatest growth was observed when treated with Vermicompost — 3
liters/ha. Productive tillering of plants increased with the use of micro fertilizers and
amounted to 2.0–2.3 conditional units against 1.7 in the control. When treated with
"Nanoverm" at a rate of 1.5 liters/ha, damage to plants by root rot was reduced by an
order of 6 times compared to the control without fertilizers and by 2.7 times
compared to the mineral control.
The results of this work can be used to improve the state of agro-ecosystems in
the Zaporizhzhya region and for establishing programs of environmentally clean and
safe agriculture.
