Проблема сексуальних меншин, стосується людей з «нетрадиційної» сексуальною орієнтацією, ця проблема є дуже важлива в сучасному суспільстві, на сьогоднішній день, панує переконання, що «нормальною» в сексуальному відношенні є людина, яка відчуває потяг до представників протилежної статі і прагне до гетеросексуальному статевому акту. Всі інші прояви сексуальної активності вважаються «ненормальними», патологічними і відхиляються від загальноприйнятого сексуального стандарту. Культурні традиції та цінності, що визначають гетеросексуальну поведінку, вважаються як нормальне, але по відношенню до людей з «нетрадиційною» сексуальною орієнтацією сприяють формуванню гетеросексизму та різних фобій. Таке ставлення суспільства визначає закритість груп сексуальних меншин, соціальний і психологічний дискомфорт осіб з нетрадиційною орієнтацією, не дозволяє їм повністю реалізувати себе як особистість в соціумі, тоді як повна реалізація особистості можлива тільки в мережі соціальних взаємозв'язків. Відповідно, для вирішення цієї проблеми необхідна інтеграція груп сексуальних меншин в суспільство на паритетних засадах. Наукова новизна кваліфікаційної роботи полягає в розкритті особливостей представників ЛГБТ та аналіз психологічних особливостей аб’юзу, як основної соціально-психологічної проблеми в лесбійських стосунках представників ЛГБТ-меншин.

The problem of sexual minorities, concerns people with "unconventional" sexual orientation, this problem is very important in modern society, today, the belief that "normal" in sexual relations is a person who feels attracted to representatives of the opposite sex and wants to heterosexual intercourse. All other manifestations of sexual activity are considered "abnormal", pathological, and deviate from the accepted sexual standard. Cultural traditions and values that define heterosexual behavior are considered normal, but with respect to people with "unconventional" sexual orientation, they contribute to the formation of heterosexism and various phobias. This attitude of society determines the closeness of sexual minority groups, social and psychological discomfort of persons with unconventional orientation, does not allow them to fully realize themselves as an individual in society, whereas full realization of personality is possible only in the network of social relationships. Accordingly, the integration of sexual minority groups into society on a parity basis is needed to address this problem. The scientific novelty of the qualification work is to uncover the characteristics of LGBT people and to analyze the psychological features of the union as a major socio-psychological problem in lesbian relationships with LGBT minority members.
