Об’єкт дослідження: англійськомовні шлюбні оголошення.
Мета роботи: висвітлення особливостей лінгвопрагматичних та лінгвостилістичних параметрів текстів англомовних шлюбних оголошень.
Теоретико-методологічні засади: ключові положення тексту шлюбних оголошень, розроблені в прагмалінгвістиці (О. В. Акулова, Ф. С. Бацевич, І. С. Везнер, І. Т. Вепрєва та ін.) та лінгвостилістиці (О. Г. Дубровська, С. П. Козлова, О. С. Магнес та ін.).
Отримані результати: шлюбне оголошення є комунікативною системою, що втілює креативну мовленнєву поведінку автора повідомлення, результатом якої виступає мовленнєвий твір, адресований потенційному партнеру. З’ясовано, що функціонування шлюбних оголошень як комунікативних одиниць відбувається завдяки присутності основних суб’єктів комунікації – адресата й адресанта. Адресант, маючи на меті створення позитивного іміджу та справлення яскравого враження на адресата, реалізує певні комунікативно-прагматичні стратегії і тактики, а саме стратегії позитивної самопрезентації, стратегії оптимізації адресації, стратегії прогнозування майбутніх комунікативних відносин, стратегії маніпулювання і допоміжні стратегії самопозиціонування та самозвеличення. Було визначено, що загальна прагматична настанова англомовного тексту шлюбного оголошення (привабити і домогтися зворотного зв’язку від адресата) розкриває і обґрунтовує широкий набір мовних засобів: вживання різних стилістичних прийомів, фігур і стилістичних тропів. За нашими спостереженнями, в англомовних текстах шлюбних оголошень найчастіше використаними є такі стилістичні засоби, як епітети, метафори, гіперболи, литоти, евфемізми і порівняння.
EN : The presented article is dedicated to the analysis of such a topical problem as linguo-stylistic and linguo-pragmatic features of English-language marriage announcement texts.
The object of this study can be defined as the English-language marriage announcements as a complex communication system.
The main aim of this thesis is to highlight the linguo-pragmatic and linguo-stylistic peculiarities of the English-language marriage announcement texts. It determined the accomplishment of such objectives as:
- characterizing the the marriage announcement as a genre of advertising;
- identifying the role of the addressant and addressee in marriage communication;
- systematizing the implementation of communicative-pragmatic strategies and tactics in English-language marriage announcements;
- analysis of basic linguostylistic techniques used in the marriage announcement texts.
Marriage announcements are a specific area of social interaction, which is highly informative. A marriage announcement is a communication system as it is a model of speech behavior where the main subjects of communication are the sender and the addressee. The sender (addressant) aims to influence the addressee positively and receive the feedback from him/her. The addressant resorts to specific communicative-pragmatic strategies and tactics, such as the strategy of positive self-presentation, the strategy of addressing optimization, the strategy of predicting future communicative relationships, the strategy of manipulation and the optional strategy of self-promotion. The results of the study showed that the texts of marriage announcements have some features of advertising, such as a defined target audience, an advertised object (author of the announcement) who enables the use of various stylistic devices to attract the addressees’ attention. The pragmatic motivation of the marriage announcement texts (to attract and get feedback from the addressee) justifies the use of a set of linguistic means, various stylistic devices, figures and stylistic tropes. The most widely used stylistic devices in the
English-language marriage announcement texts are epithets, metaphors, comparisons, hyperboles, euphemisms.
The scientific novelty of the presented research is determined by the fact that the targeting strategies and tactics of communication via the English-language marriage announcement texts’ analysis have been identified and characterized. It has been stated that the specific communicative-pragmatic intentions are realized in the marriage announcements by the use of different stylistic devices and expressive means, the most typical of which are an epithet, metaphor, comparison, hyperbola, euphemism.
