Об'єкт дослідження – показники системи зовнішнього дихання.
Мета роботи – вивчення показників системи зовнішнього дихання у спортсменок, які спеціалізуються у бігу на середні дистанції, віком 17–18 років у різні періоди тренувального макроциклу.
Методи дослідження: аналіз науково-методичної літератури, педагогічне спостереження, оцінка функціонального стану системи зовнішнього дихання, методи математичної статистики.
Проведене в ході виконання кваліфікаційної роботи дослідження дозволило підтвердити, що у дівчат 17–18 років, які спеціалізується у бігу на середні дистанції досліджувані показники були достовірно вище, ніж в контрольній групі нетренованих дівчат.
Зміни показників системи зовнішнього дихання у дівчат, які спеціалізуються у бігу на середні дистанції, були помірними і змінювалися за сприятливим типом, оскільки розходження в показниках до змагань і після І та ІІ турів не перевищували 50%.
Фізичне навантаження змагального періоду не виснажує компенсаторних можливостей дихальної системи дівчат 17–18 років. Більш значне напруження системи зовнішнього дихання у дівчат 17–18 років зазначалося наприкінці ІІ туру порівняно з початком змагань.

The object of research is indicators of the external respiratory system.
The aim of the work is to study the indicators of the external respiration system in athletes specializing in middle – distance running aged 17-18 years in different periods of the training macrocycle.
Research methods: analysis of scientific and methodological literature, pedagogical observation, assessment of the functional state of the external respiratory system, methods of Mathematical Statistics.
The study conducted during the qualification work confirmed that girls aged 17-18 who specialize in middle-distance running had significantly higher indicators than in the control group of untrained girls.
Changes in the indicators of the external respiratory system in girls specializing in middle-distance running were moderate and varied according to a favorable type, since the differences in indicators before the competition and after the first and second rounds did not exceed 50%.
Physical activity of the competitive period does not exhaust the compensatory capabilities of the respiratory system of girls aged 17-18 years. A more significant strain of the external respiratory system in girls aged 17-18 years was noted at the end of the second round compared to the beginning of the competition.
