Структура, семантика та функції емотивів у романах Дж. Остін

Abstract

UA : Робота викладена на 57 сторінках друкованого тексту. Перелік посилань включає 52 джерела. Об’єкт дослідження: емотивність як мовний феномен. Мета роботи: вивчення емотивності в творах Джейн Остін. Теоретико-методологічні засади: мовні особливості емотивності, які досліджувалися різними вченими (В. І. Шаховський, М. О. Красавський, В. Ю. Апресян, І. М. Літвінчук, В. Я. Галаган та інші). Отримані результати: емотиви - це слова, що називають, позначають, виражають емоції. Емоції у мовному втіленні перетворюються на емотиви, тому емотивність – це мовна категорія. У зв’язку з увагою Джейн Остін до психологізму та зображення внутрішніх переживань та емоцій персонажів, можна зробити висновок,що її твори багаті на емотиви. Джейн Остін використовує у великій кількості прикметники, які називають емоції, при цьому вони належать в основному до однієї емоційної зони - позитивної: generous, pleasant, intelligent, gentle, amiable, pretty-spoken та інші. Авторка використовує інтенсифікатори для більш значного впливу: to be very sure, a very good servant, a very old and intimate friend, very fanciful, very considerable тощо. Для опису емоцій, Джейн Остін використовує такі іменники як: tears, smiles, blushing, happiness, kindness, friendliness, joy, pleasure тощо. Отже, у романах емоції виражаються найрізноманітнішими засобами, які комбінуються у мові по-різному. До емотивних засобів мови відносяться лінгвістичні, специфічні функціональні засоби (суфікси, емоційно-оцінна лексика, емоційно-оцінні експресивні структури), а також паралінгвістичні методи, які функціонально залежні від мови, вживаються в контексті конкретного мовного акту і спрямовані на передачу конкретної емоційної реакції.

EN : The work is presented on 57 pages of printed text. The list of references includes 52 sources.The presented paper deals with the study of the peculiarities of speech transmission of emotions in the novels of Jane Austen. The object of the work is emotionality as a linguistic phenomenon. And the subject – the linguistic representation of emotionality in the works of Jane Austen. The main purpose of this study is to analyze the emotionality (especially its semantic, structural and functional peculiarities) in the works of Jane Austen. It determined the accomplishment of such objectives as: This goal involves solving the following tasks: 1) profound analysis of the concepts of emotive meaning, emotivity, expressive mean, expressiveness and criteria for their differentiation; 2) identification of the linguistic features of emotionality; 3) consideration of the linguistic features and means of the reflection in the emotional sphere in the works of J. Austin. The definition of the “emotivity” is offered in the work. In these novels, emotions are expressed by a variety of means, which are combined in language in different ways. Emotives are represented by different parts of speech and have different functions. These texts are quite emotional and expressive, because the novels are about love, the formation of women in society. Emotionality becomes a stylistic feature of fictional texts. All fictional works belong to the emotional type of texts, which is due to the place of the emotive in the thematic structure and emotional tasks in the complex of pragmatic tasks of the text. That is, emotionality is the ability of language units to express the emotional attitude and state of the speaker. The findings of this work contribute the development of the theory of emotionality, as the results are useful for the study of emotional vocabulary.
