Оцінний складник в семантиці субстантивних метафор

Abstract

EN : The work is presented on 54 pages of printed text. The list of references includes 83 sources. The presented paper is dedicated to the analysis of such a topical problem as an estimating component in semantics of substantive metaphors. The object of the work can be defined as is language tools that serve to create substantive metaphors. The main aim of the paper consists in to determine the evaluative component in the semantics of substantive metaphors. It determined the accomplishment of such objectives as:  to study the material and research methods on this issue;  determine the specifics of the evaluation as a component of value;  identify the evaluation criteria that underlie the evaluation of metaphors, and describe the features of substantive metaphors;  identify the main structural types of substantive metaphors and identify the most frequent. Evaluation as a language category expresses the speaker's attitude to the object of reality, depending on how satisfied his needs, desires, interests or goals. Metaphors can be divided into specific groups according to the evaluation they express. In these groups there is an assessment of moral and ethical qualities, intellectual qualities, emotional and psychological qualities, assessment of the activities of the referent, evaluation of appearance. The scientific novelty of the work is determined by the fact that it made a comprehensive study of metaphor as one of the means of expression of evaluation.

Теоретико-методологічні засади: розширення наших уявлень про категорію оцінки як засобу пізнання та відображення картини світу. Отримані результати: оцінка як мовна категорія виражає ставлення мовця до об'єкта дійсності залежно від того, наскільки задоволені його потреби, бажання, інтереси чи цілі. Метафори можна розділити на певні групи згідно тієї оцінки, яку вони виражають. У даних групах має місце оцінка морально-етичних якостей, інтелектуальних якостей, емоційно-психологічних якостей, оцінка діяльності референта, оцінка зовнішності. Вивчення відображення екстралінгвістичних факторів у семантиці метафори дозволяє нам виявити демографічну та соціокультурну оцінність, що характеризує статусні ознаки суб’єкта і об’єкта оцінки. Субстантивна метафора має 3 основних структурних типи: метафора-речення, метафора-словосполучення і відособлена метафора. Аналіз показав, що пейоративна оцінка переважає в субстантивних метафорах, з чого можна зробити висновок, що суспільство схильне висловлювати несхвалення частіше, ніж схвалювати що-небудь.
