UA : Об’єктом магістерського дослідження є економічні зміни у житті Півдня США після Громадянської війни у період Реконструкції.
Предметом магістерського дослідження є розвиток соціально-економічних відносин, форм та методів організації виробництв, впливу скасування рабства на економічні відносини на Півдні у 1865-1877 роках.
Мета роботи полягає в аналізі основних напрямків змін у соціально-економічних змінах на Півдні США, причин цих змін, їх наслідків для подальшого розвитку держави після завершення Громадянської війни.
Новизна роботи полягає в тому, що на основі широкого кола джерел та літератури зроблено ґрунтовний аналіз процесу економічної модернізації життя на Півдні, впливу на ці процеси емансипації чорного населення, реінтеграції та відновлення Півдня, боротьби за свої права афроамериканського населення США у XIX ст., і пов’язаних з цим соціально-економічних змін і їх впливу на увесь південний регіон наново об’єднаних США. Систематизованих досліджень з подібної проблематики досить небагато, і не кожне з них висвітлює проблему змін комплексно, з враховуванням усієї широти чинників, що спричинили зрушення у економічному житті Півдня.
Висновки.
Громадянська війна в Північній Америці знищила рабство, але ідеологічні основи цього інституту дотепер роблять вплив на політичне життя США. Поразка Реконструкції призвела до відновлення влади плантаційної еліти, влади Демократичної партії на Півдні і, як наслідок, призвела до неможливості забезпечувати вирішення питання прав та свобод чорношкірого населення Республіканською партією. Ввібравши в себе досвід рабовласницьких устремлінь колоніального періоду, південне суспільство породило величезну кількість різних расистських теорій. Одначасно з цим, внаслідок емансипації рабів повністю перекроїлась карта соціально-економічного устрою Півдня. Тепер раби стали: робітниками за наймом, вільними землевласниками, членами сільськогосподарських кооперативів і навіть впливовими бізнесменами та підприємцями. Саме нове, покращене становище колишніх рабів спричинило загострення расистських рухів. Було проаналізовано також і вплив залізничного будівництва на економіку Півдня та інших факторів, що модернізували економічне життя регіону.
Здешевшання логістики призвело до широких економічних змін. З перемогою Півночі у війні згодом почався розвиток промисловості та в особливості - розвиток обробної промисловості, переважно обробки бавовни та створення текстильних фабрик. Не дивлячись на те, що Північні штати перемогли, досить швидкої індустріалізації Півдня у цей період не відбулося. Південь залишився сільскогосподарським регіоном, основною продукцією якого, як і до Реконструкції, була бавовна та тютюн.
EN : The object of the master's study is the economic changes in life in the South of the United States after the Civil War during the Reconstruction.
The subject of the master's research is the development of socio-economic relations, forms and methods of organization of production, the impact of the abolition of slavery on economic relations in the South in 1865-1877.
The aim of the work is to analyze the main directions of changes in socio-economic changes in the South of the United States, the reasons for these changes, their consequences for the further development of the state after the Civil War.
The novelty of the work is that based on a wide range of sources and literature a thorough analysis of the process of economic modernization of life in the South, the impact on these processes of emancipation of the black population, reintegration and reconstruction of the South, the struggle for African rights in the XIX century related socio-economic changes and their impact on the entire southern region of the reunited United States. There are very few systematic studies on this issue, and not every one of them covers the problem of change in a comprehensive way, taking into account the full range of factors that have caused changes in the economic life of the South.
Conclusions. The North American Civil War wiped out slavery, but the ideological foundations of the institution still influence US political life. The defeat of the Reconstruction led to the restoration of the power of the plantation elite, the power of the Democratic Party in the South, and, as a result, made it impossible for the Republican Party to ensure that the rights and freedoms of the black population were resolved. Having absorbed the experience of the slave-owning aspirations of the colonial period, southern society gave rise to a huge number of different racist theories. At the same time, as a result of the emancipation of slaves, the map of the socio-economic system of the South was completely redrawn. Now slaves have become: hired workers, free landowners, members of agricultural cooperatives, and even influential businessmen and entrepreneurs. It is the new, improved position of former slaves that has exacerbated racist movements. The impact of railway construction on the economy of the South and other factors that modernized the economic life of the region was also analyzed.
Cheaper logistics has led to widespread economic change. With the victory of the North in the war, the development of industry began, and in particular the development of the manufacturing industry, mainly cotton processing and the establishment of textile factories. Despite the fact that the Northern States won, the rather rapid industrialization of the South during this period did not happen. The south remained an agricultural region, whose main products, as before the Reconstruction, were cotton and tobacco.
