Лінгвостилістичні засоби створення ефекту саспенс у творах жанру horror та їх відтворення в перекладі українською мовою (на матеріалі романів С.Кінга)

Abstract

EN : The work is presented on 65 pages of printed text, contains 2 additions. The list of references 45 sources. The presented paper is dedicated to the analysis of such a topical problem as linguistic and stylistic devices of creating the suspense effect. The object of the work can be defined as suspense in horror literature. The main aim of the paper consists in identification of the main features of creating suspense and the adequacy of their translation into the Ukrainian. It determined the accomplishment of such objectives as:  definition of suspense and approaches to its study;  analysis of genre features of suspense;  investigation of linguistic and stylistic devices of creating suspense;  analysis of the adequacy of the translation of suspense components. In novels “Cujo” and “Carrie” by S. King 1341 suspense nominations are identified, such as: actions that cause an atmosphere of suspense, nominations of a person, change in physical/psychophysical/emotional states, pain, fear, tension, excitement, anxiety, uncertainty, premonition, supernatural/natural phenomena. Stylistic devices of creating suspense were investigated, which are used in 298 passages out of 561 studied: epithet, repetition, simile, metaphor, aposiopesis, metonymy, synecdoche, anaphora, epiphora, symploce, hyperbole, emphatic construction, personification, gradation, amplification, inversion, rhetorical question. The translation of linguistic and stylistic devices of creating suspense in this paper is mostly equivalent.

Мета роботи: встановлення особливостей створення ефекту «саспенс» та адекватність їх відтворення у перекладі на українську мову. Теоретико-методологічні засади: визначення «саспенсу» (А. Хічкок, І. Задерій, Ф. Трюффо, Т. Юдіна та ін.), підходи до його вивчення (О. Воробйова, О. Орєхова, А. Лещенко, О. Божко та ін.). Отримані результати: у романах С. Кінга “Cujo” та ”Carrie” виокремлюються 1341 лексична номінація ефекту «саспенс», такі як: дії, що спричиняють атмосферу саспенс, номінації людини, зміна фізичного/психофізичного/емоційного станів, біль, страх, напруження, збудження, занепокоєння, невпевненість, передчуття, надприродне/природне явища. Були виявлені стилістичні засоби створення ефекту «саспенс», які застосовуються у 298 уривках з 561 досліджених: епітет, повтор, порівняння, метафора, апосіопеза, метонімія, синекдоха, анафора, епіфора, симплока, гіпербола, емфатична конструкція, персоніфікація, градація, ампліфікація, інверсія, риторичне питання. Переклад лінгвостилістичних засобів створення ефекту «саспенс» у даних художніх творах є переважно еквівалентним.
