Abstract
EN : The paper consists of 53 pages of printed text and includes 3 tables and 10 figures. The reference list contains 47 sources, 11 of which are in foreign languages. The subject of the study is the fur of game animals: the red fox, the red deer, and the European roe deer. The subject of the study is the analysis of the condition of the red fox’s fur coat across different seasons and by sex, as well as the study of the thickness and length of the red deer’s and European roe deer’s fur coats depending on the sex of the studied populations. The objective of the study is to determine the seasonal and sexual variability of the fur of the red fox, red deer, and European roe deer within the “Tavria” recreational park during the period 2021–2024. Research methods included the use of a morphometric method for the quantitative study of microstructures and statistical analysis. The novelty of the study lies in the fact that, for the first time, an analysis of the fur of game animals was conducted, differences across seasons were examined, and sex-related variation in fur was determined for the red fox, red deer, and European roe deer. The practical and theoretical significance of the results lies in their potential application in game management and conservation efforts to assess physiological condition, determine optimal hunting seasons, and improve methods for animal inventory and selection evaluation, particularly in the analysis of fur quality.
