Abstract

UA : Актуальність дослідження теми еволюції стратегії національної безпеки Великої Британії після Brexit зумовлена тим, що у XXI столітті в умовах геополітичних викликів і новітніх загроз світова система безпеки зазнала фундаментальної трансформації. Оновлення європейської геополітичної архітектури було спровоковано виходом Великої Британії з Європейського Союзу. Держава опинилася перед необхідністю шукати нові формати взаємодії з ЄС, НАТО та іншими партнерами. Особливої значущості ця тема набуває в умовах повномасштабної російсько-української війни, яка поряд із Brexit вважається одним із головних чинників перегляду британської стратегії національної безпеки. Окреме значення означена тема має й тому, що на її тлі активно обговорюється місце Великої Британії, перспективи співпраці, а також практична реалізації концепції «Global Britain» у змінених міжнародних умовах. Після Brexit британська стратегія змістилася в бік поєднання євроатлантичних зобов’язань і глобальної ролі. Введення у контекст обговорення нових стратегічних документів у 2023-2025 р.р. також свідчать про її актуальність. Зокрема це стосується «Стратегії національної безпеки британського народу в небезпечному світі» і стратегії «Безпечніша Британія: безпечна вдома, сильна за кордоном» 2025 року. Для України дослідження також є особливо важливим, оскільки Велика Британія сьогодні залишається одним із ключових партнерів нашої держави у сфері безпеки та оборони. Розуміння того, як змінювалася британська стратегія після Brexit, допомагає краще побачити логіку її сучасної політики та перспективи українсько-британського співробітництва.EN : The relevance of the study of the topic of the evolution of the national security strategy of Great Britain after Brexit is due to the fact that in the 21st century, in the context of geopolitical challenges and new threats, the global security system has undergone a fundamental transformation. The renewal of the European geopolitical architecture was provoked by the withdrawal of Great Britain from the European Union. The state found itself faced with the need to seek new formats for interaction with the EU, NATO and other partners. This topic is of particular importance in the context of the full-scale Russian-Ukrainian war, which, along with Brexit, is considered one of the main factors in revising the British national security strategy. This topic is also of particular importance because, against its background, the place of Great Britain, the prospects for cooperation, as well as the practical implementation of the concept of "Global Britain" in the changed international conditions are actively discussed. After Brexit, the British strategy has shifted towards combining Euro-Atlantic commitments and a global role. Introduction into the context of the discussion of new strategic documents in 2023-2025 also indicates its relevance. In particular, this applies to the “National Security Strategy of the British People in a Dangerous World” and the “A Safer Britain: Safe at Home, Strong Abroad” strategy of 2025. The study is also particularly important for Ukraine, since the United Kingdom remains one of our country’s key partners in the field of security and defense today. Understanding how the British strategy has changed after Brexit helps to better see the logic of its current policy and the prospects for Ukrainian-British cooperation.
