Abstract
EN : The work is presented on 89 pages of printed text, 6 figures, 5 tables, 2 appendices. The list of references includes 67 sources. The object of the study is the phenomenon of experiencing grief over loss. The ongoing war in Ukraine has become not only a large-scale socio-political event, but also a source of deep collective psychological trauma. Millions of people have experienced the loss of loved ones, the destruction of family ties, and a change in life orientations. Women who lost their husbands in the war are in a particularly difficult situation. For them, the death of a loved one means not only emotional pain, but also a radical change in life circumstances, the need to accept new social roles and search for internal resources for further life. Experiencing grief is a natural reaction to loss, but its depth and form of manifestation depend on personal characteristics, value system, life experience, and the social context of the event. In the case of war loss, this context is especially traumatic: the death of a loved one is often sudden, occurs in conditions of uncertainty and without the possibility of saying goodbye, which significantly complicates the process of accepting the loss. Women who have lost their husbands in war experience conflicting emotions - deep pain and despair are combined with a sense of pride, responsibility for children, and the need to remain strong. This combination of opposing feelings leads to internal conflict, psycho-emotional exhaustion, depressive or anxious states that require professional psychological support. The scientific novelty lies in the fact that: the psychological essence of the phenomenon of grief in war conditions has been clarified as a complex emotional process that combines personal and socio-cultural dimensions; psychological factors and manifestations of complex (protracted) grief, characteristic of war conditions, have been identified; practical recommendations have been developed for organizing psychological support for women who have suffered a loss.
