Специфіка відтворення творів Оскара Уайльда українською мовою

Abstract

UA : Об’єкт дослідження: художні тексти Оскара Уайльда та їх переклад українською мовою. Предмет дослідження: мовно-стильові особливості творів О. Уайльда та способи їх відтворення в українських перекладах. Мета дослідження: проаналізувати специфіку передачі індивідуального стилю Оскара Уайльда українською мовою та визначити ефективні перекладацькі стратегії для збереження його художньої манери. Теоретико-методологічні засади дослідження: Методологічною основою роботи є праці вітчизняних та зарубіжних лінгвістів, що стосуються теорії художнього перекладу, стилістики, інтерпретації авторського стилю та відтворення культурних реалій (Базилянська О., Брандес М., Венуті Л., Виницький І., Гуменюк Т., Дейна О., Комісаренко Л., Корунець І., Найда Е., Шемчук О.)У роботі застосовано методи порівняльного аналізу, стилістичного аналізу, контекстуального аналізу, описовий та інтерпретаційний методи. Отримані результати: під час дослідження визначено ключові перекладацькі стратегії, що використовуються при відтворенні художніх текстів Оскара Уайльда; проаналізовано індивідуальний стиль письменника та його вплив на переклад; виявлено специфіку передачі іронії, гри слів, культурних алюзій і парадоксальності мовлення; здійснено порівняльний аналіз перекладацьких рішень у різних українських перекладах; сформульовано рекомендації щодо оптимального збереження авторського стилю О. Уайльда у перекладі.EN : The presented paper is devoted to the analysis of the specific features of rendering Oscar Wilde’s individual style in Ukrainian translations of his literary works. The research focuses on identifying how translators reproduce the author’s aesthetic manner, irony, paradoxes, and cultural allusions within the framework of Ukrainian linguistic and cultural traditions. The object of the study is defined as the artistic texts of Oscar Wilde and their Ukrainian translations. The subject of the research is the specificity of reproducing Wilde’s stylistic and semantic features in translation. The main aim of the paper consists in analyzing the ways, mechanisms, and strategies of conveying the linguistic and stylistic peculiarities of Oscar Wilde’s prose, particularly in the novel “The Picture of Dorian Gray.” To achieve this aim, the following objectives were accomplished: to systematize the theoretical foundations of literary translation as a type of intercultural communication; to determine the problem of adequacy and the preservation of the author’s style in translation; to examine the stylistic characteristics of Oscar Wilde’s works. The scientific novelty of the presented research lies in a comprehensive analysis of the translation of Oscar Wilde’s aesthetic and stylistic system into Ukrainian, as well as in identifying the mechanisms that allow the translator to balance between linguistic precision and artistic freedom. The practical value of the paper is determined by the possibility of applying its results in the fields of translation theory, stylistics, and teaching literary translation. The conclusions of this study contribute to the understanding of the interaction between English and Ukrainian literary traditions and highlight the role of translation as an act of intercultural mediation.
