Образ ельфів в художньому доробку Дж. Р. Р. Толкієна: особливості творення і перекладу

Abstract

UA : робота – 81 стор., 83 джерела, 7 додатків Об’єкт дослідження: зв’язок міфу, фольклору з літературою, його відображення у тексті художнього твору, можливість відтворення цього зв’язку у перекладі. Мета роботи: встановлення індивідуально-авторських ознак образу ельфа Толкіна, пояснення можливостей їх відтворення у перекладі, оцінка адекватності цільового тексту. Теоретично-методологічні засади: основні положення перекладознавства стосовно якості і цільового тексту (А. Г. Гудманян, А. Іванова, Л. С. Рабійчук, І. В. Струк, В. Bahmani), теоретичні праці, присвячені дослідженню художнього образу (О. Л. Сиборова, О. В. Мусурівська, Ю. О. Зайченко), теоретичні праці, присвячені дослідженню творчості Дж. Р. Р. Толкіна (К. Гільсон, Д. Дей, Т. К. Скал, П. Г. Уінні), наукові розвідки з фольклористики та міфології (О. Довганик, І. О. Дубова). Отримані результати: визначений зв’язок міфу, фольклору із літературою; окреслені проблеми художнього перекладу у зв’язку з системністю ознак художнього тексту-джерела; визначені складові образу персонажа у художньому творі та позначені складнощі під час їх перекладу; встановлені жанрово-стильові особливості фентезі, із наголошенням на специфікаціях їх відтворення в перекладі; описаний канонічний образ ельфів в європейській міфології та фольклорі; визначені канонічні та авторські ознаки ельфів в творах Дж. Р. Р Толкіна; встановлений рівень адекватності перекладу складових образу ельфів Толкіна.EN : The presented piece of writing is dedicated to the research of the image of the elves in J. R. R. Tolkien’s works, specificity of creation and translation . The object of the study is the image of the elf of J. R. R. Tolkien in comparison with the European canon and the level of the adequacy of translations of the components in the language of translation. The aim of the study is to establish the individual-authorial features of the image of Tolkien’s elf, explain the possibilities of their reproduction in translation and assess the adequacy of the target text. To study the set aim, it is necessary to solve the following tasks: - determine the connection between myth, folklore and literature; - outline the problems of literary translation in connection with the systematicity of the features of the literary source-text; - determine the components of the character’s image in a literary text and identify the difficulties during their translation; - establish the genre-stylistic features of fantasy, emphasizing the specifications of their reproduction in translation; - describe the canonical image of elves in European mythology and folklore; - determine the canonical and authorial features of elves in the works of J. R. R. Tolkien and establish the level of adequacy of the translation of the components of the image of Tolkien’s elves. In the following research is defined the connection between literature myth and folklore, which is reflected in the literary text, and the possibilities of reproducing this connection in translation. The scientific novelty lies in the attempt to identify the authorial features of Tolkien’s elves in the comparison with canon and to determine the level of adequacy of the reproduction of these features in the language of translation.
