Abstract
EN : The work is presented on 53 pages of printed text, contains 13 tables, 9 figures, 4 appendices. The list of references includes 60 sources. The object of the study is the system of family and marital relationships of military personnel - participants in hostilities. The full-scale war has radically and irreversibly changed the social landscape of Ukrainian society. An unprecedented number of citizens have been involved in the defense forces, and their return from the combat zone to a peaceful, or rather conditionally peaceful, environment is accompanied by profound psychological transformations. The experience of extreme violence, constant threat to life, loss of comrades and excessive physical exhaustion does not disappear after demobilization or rotation. It turns into a complex set of psychological consequences: from temporary reactions to combat stress to persistent post-traumatic disorders and deep moral trauma. It is the family that becomes the first and main recipient that takes the brunt of these “invisible wounds”. Traditionally, the family of a serviceman is considered a key therapeutic resource in the adaptation process. However, in practice, it itself turns out to be extremely vulnerable to secondary traumatization. This is due to the fact that a combat trauma of one of the family members inevitably affects the entire family system, leading to alienation, role conflicts, emotional numbness and, often, to the breakdown of the marriage. The practical significance of the results obtained is that the theoretical material systematized in the work, the classifications of conflictogens given and the mechanisms of secondary traumatization revealed can be used in the practical activities of military psychologists, social work specialists, crisis consultants and family therapists when developing protocols for the psychological rehabilitation of servicemen.
