Abstract
EN : The work is presented on 75 pages of printed text, contains 3 tables, 3 figures, 5 appendices. The list of references includes 60 sources. The object of the study is the process of developing the creative abilities of preschool children. The relevance of the study lies in the fact that the modern educational process requires preschool educational institutions (hereinafter referred to as preschool educational institutions) to adopt a new approach to their activities, new forms, methods, technologies of upbringing, development and teaching of preschool children. Today, the content of education is becoming more complicated, attention is focused on the development of children's creative and intellectual abilities, correction of emotional-volitional and motor spheres, and traditional methods of teaching and upbringing are being replaced by interactive methods of teaching and upbringing that involve the activation of the child's cognitive development. "The Law of Ukraine "On Preschool Education" defines as one of the priority tasks of preschool education "the formation of the child's personality, the development of his or her creative abilities, the acquisition of social experience." That is why a social educator, educators, psychologist and parents must work together to ensure conditions for the development of creativity in a preschooler. In this regard, art therapy methods are particularly relevant, the essence of which is not to teach sculpting, but to give children, through various techniques, using specially selected materials, the opportunity to express themselves, to express their accumulated emotions, to share their experiences and, thus, to improve their emotional state. The scientific novelty of the study lies in the substantiation of clay therapy as an innovative method of art therapy, which contributes to the development of creative abilities of preschoolers and the study of the impact of clay therapy on the sensory, emotional and cognitive development of a child in the process of creative activity.
