EN : The qualification thesis consists of an introduction, two chapters, conclusions and recommendations, and a list of references (74 sources). The relevance of the topic is determined by the fact that the speech development of primary school-aged children is critically important for the formation of learning skills, reading, writing, and the development of logical and speech operations. For children with ASD, this period may define the further trajectory of their educational progress. The conditions of emigration serve as a significant risk factor that can slow down or alter the structure of speech disorders. Research aim: to identify and characterize the specific features of speech development in primary school–aged children with ASD in the context of emigration, as well as to outline the directions of speech therapy support. Object of the study: speech development of primary school–aged children with autism spectrum disorders. Subject of the study: specific features of speech development in primary school aged children with ASD in the context of emigration. Research objectives: - to analyze psychological, pedagogical, and speech therapy approaches to the problem of speech development in children with ASD; - to examine the influence of the emigration environment on the speech and communicative development of primary school–aged children; - to describe the features of speech development in children with ASD in primary school age; - to conduct a diagnostic study of the speech development of primary school aged children with ASD in the context of emigration; - to summarize the results and determine the directions of speech therapy assistance for this category of children. Chapter 1, “Theoretical foundations for studying the speech development of children with ASD in the context of emigration” defines the psychological and pedagogical characteristics of children with autism spectrum disorders; examines the features of their speech development; and outlines the influence of the emigration environment on speech development and socialization of children with special educational needs. Chapter 2, “Empirical study of the speech development of primary school–aged children with ASD in the context of emigration” examines the organization and methodology of the diagnostic study; presents the analysis of the obtained results; and identifies the directions of speech therapy support and corrective–developmental work with primary school–aged children with ASD living in emigration. The results of the study may be used in general secondary education institutions (primary school), Inclusive Resource Centers (IRCs), social services, adaptation centers, and international projects supporting Ukrainian children abroad.
