Abstract
EN : The qualification work consists of an introduction, 2 parts, findings, a list of references (71 items, 46 of them in a foreign language). The qualification work volume is 84 pages long, 52 of them – main text. Relevance of the topic is determined by the growing number of preschool children with hearing loss who require timely, family-centred, and evidence-based support to develop auditory perception, spoken language, and communicative competence. Without targeted habilitation/rehabilitation, these children face barriers to communication, learning readiness, and social participation. In the context of inclusive education and early intervention systems, there is a need for scientifically grounded and practically effective approaches that combine audiological technologies with structured speech-language therapy and everyday communication routines. The aim of the research is to identify, theoretically substantiate, and methodically outline effective approaches to hearing-and-speech rehabilitation of preschool children with hearing impairment, focusing on the development of auditory skills, speech production, and functional communication in natural settings. Object of the research – the process of hearing-and-speech rehabilitation (habilitation/rehabilitation) of preschool children with hearing impairment. Subject of the research – the organization, content, and methods of audiological and speech-language support that foster auditory perception, articulation, lexical grammatical development, prosody, and communicative participation of preschoolers with hearing loss. Research tasks: – to define the essence, aims, and principles of hearing-and-speech rehabilitation in preschool age and clarify the ICF-based logic of goal-setting; – to characterize psychological, linguistic, and communicative features of children with hearing loss in early and preschool periods; – to analyse modern international and Ukrainian approaches (early detection, fitting/CI, AVT, multimodal strategies) to organizing rehabilitation in inclusive settings; – to identify effective methods, techniques, and tools of speech-language work (auditory training, articulation, lexical-grammatical and prosodic development, family centred routines); – to formulate practice-oriented recommendations for speech-language therapists, teachers, and parents aimed at increasing the effectiveness of corrective and developmental support. Chapter 1 “Theoretical Foundations of Hearing-and-Speech Rehabilitation in Preschool Age” presents a theoretical analysis of habilitation/rehabilitation constructs; describes developmental specifics of children with hearing loss (phonetics/phonemics, lexis-grammar, prosody, communicative pragmatics); and outlines modern frameworks and principles for goal-setting and outcome monitoring. Chapter 2 “Practical Aspects of Speech-Language Support for Preschoolers with Hearing Loss” substantiates diagnostic pathways and methods of intervention (auditory training, AVT-based techniques, multimodal strategies, family routines), proposes tools for progress monitoring, and offers practical recommendations for organizing support in preschool and home environments.
