Особливості перекладу новин (на матеріалі медіаресурсу «Українська Правда»)

Abstract

UA : Об’єкт дослідження: український новинний дискурс військово-політичної тематики. Предмет дослідження – лінгвостилістичні особливості новинного дискурсу та перекладацькі стратегії і трансформації. Метою роботи є комплексне дослідження лінгвостилістичних параметрів новинного дискурсу на матеріалі медіаресурсу «Українська правда» та визначення перекладацьких трансформацій і стратегій, що забезпечують адекватну передачу змісту й прагматичних характеристик українських новин англійською мовою. Методи дослідження. У роботі застосовано теоретичний аналіз, лінгвістичне спостереження, лінгвостилістичний та контекстуальний аналізи, зіставний метод для порівняння українських новин із англомовними перекладами, а також перекладознавчий метод для визначення специфіки відтворення лінгвостилістичних особливостей новинного дискурсу. Практична значущість роботи полягає в тому, що її результати можуть бути використані у викладанні курсів з теорії та практики перекладу, стилістики та лексикології. Матеріали дослідження є корисними для формування навичок аналізу новинного дискурсу, опанування перекладацьких трансформацій і вивченн стратегій доместикації та форенізації в медіаперекладі.EN : The object of the Master's research is Ukrainian news discourse on military and political topics. The subject of the study is the linguistic and stylistic features of news discourse, and on translation strategies and transformations. The purpose of the study is comprehensive research into the linguistic and stylistic characteristics of news discourse, based on material from the media resource Ukrainska Pravda. Research methods. The following research methods were employed: theoretical analysis, linguistic observation, stylistic and contextual analysis, comparative analysis of Ukrainian news and their English translations, and translation studies methods to determine how linguistic-stylistic features of news discourse are reproduced. The first chapter defines discourse and outlines the structure of news discourse. The second chapter analyzes the lexical, grammatical, and stylistic features of news texts. The third chapter examines the translation strategies used to render these features in English. Scientific novelty lies in a comprehensive approach to the analysis of Ukrainian news discourse and its English translation. The practical significance lies in the fact that the conclusions of the study can be used in teaching courses on the translation theory and practice, stylistics, and lexicology. The research materials are useful for developing skills in analyzing news discourse, mastering translation transformations, and studying domestication and foreignization strategies in media translation.
